My name is Jessika and I'm a native Swedish speaker and certified teacher. This course will give you a great start in your Swedish language learning. In addition to the video lessons, you get access to wordlists, Quizlet links, slides from the lessons and quizzes. Everything you need to practice, and learn the language!
Each chapter starts with a dialog, inspired by everyday life. The lessons that follow will focus on grammar, pronunciation and various exercises, all related to that chapter's dialog.
After the course, and your persistent practice, you'll be able to introduce yourself, talk about your work and relationships, introduce others, use different phrases to greet and ask how someone is doing, say what time it is, and much more. You're also going to have basic knowledge of grammar, pronunciation, numbers and letters - and you'll have a useful Swedish vocabulary.
The course will enable practice of all four skills: Listening, reading, talking and writing. The lessons are designed to make you an active learner. You'll be asked to repeat phrases out loud, pause the videos to write down answers, find patterns in grammar rules, etc. It's as close as you can come to live lessons, with both guidance from a teacher and practice, but with all the benefits of an on-demand course. You decide when to practice, how much, and at what pace.
If you have any questions, please just let me know.
Lycka till (good luck)!
Hälsningar Jessika
