The Athlete's Guide to Flow has been made available for you. Please download it and read it. Flow is the state of mind where athletes perform at their personal peak (often referred to as being "in the zone"). This guide will not only explain what flow is, but also the conditions that must be present for flow to occur. While the research has shown that flow is not something we can control and turn and off -- flow is an involuntary response, not a conscious action -- this guide is an invaluable resource in helping to understand the conditions that must be present to help the mind enter the flow state so that you can perform at your best. This understanding of flow, along with the skills, strategies, and principles taught in this course, will arm you with every weapon you need to raise your game to your personal peak potential!
Once you complete the videos in Section 1 and come to full a understanding of the archetype and the power of it, you'll go through Sections 2 & 3 to fully integrate the archetype into your identity as an athlete and how you perform. In Section 4 you'll find powerful visualization strategies that hold roots in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Each video has an introductory video that explains how and when to use the exercise. These exercises are available for you as an additional resource to reinforce what you learn in the first three sections, to bolster your confidence, to help your mind unlock your stronger performance, and to condition your beliefs about what is possible for you. For many clients who enroll in personal coaching, these exercises have been the absolute game-changer, and they swear by them.
The most important part of this course, and the most transformative to your personal performance level, is the assignments attached to each module. Where other mindset coaches and sports psychologists merely offer basic strategies and/or explain theories of athletic performance, it's important to understand how this course is different, and it all starts here. In this video you'll learn the archetype which has been the framework to launch countless athletes to perform at higher levels. This video will introduce you to this confidence building exercise. Most people prefer to do this exercise alone as it requires you to vocally match in tone and volume what you hear in the recording.
This video explains the bedtime visualization exercise. The exercise is best listened to while you're in bed and ready to fall asleep. Be sure that you won't be disturbed or distracted. If you do fall asleep, don't stress about it. Continue your normal schedule with this video regardless of whether you or not you can stay awake through the entire thing.
This video explains the Line in the Sand exercise. That exercise requires you to actually stand and move as you listen. You'll want to be sure you can listen with your hands free and the room void of distractions.
This video explains the Competition Ready visualization. The visualization is designed to be listened to before competition. The exercise will lower your brain waves and prime the brain to enter flow during your upcoming competition.
