Welcome to the Sustainable Energy Finance introduction training programme!

In the first section, you meet some of the experts behind the EU project PROPEL and the Sustainable Energy Finance Association (SEFA) in three short videos.

  1. You learn about the current challenges in Europe's energy sector and how energy efficiency can help overcome those challenges.

  2. We introduce the background on the work that has been done and where current matters stand.

  3. We present SEFA and which stakeholders stand to benefit.

In the second section, you learn about the hybrid business model, the best way to get energy efficiency projects running!

Three of our experts explain the hybrid business model. Multiple quizzes test your knowledge. Additionally you will find some external links to previous work on 'Why off-balance sheet matters', 'Key actors in the energy efficiency market', and a webinar on 'Financing Energy Efficiency projects'.

In the third section, you get more information on the collateral that we developed.

We discuss the standardized contract and how it is the key to accessing capital for your projects.

We introduce a transparent and comprehensive risk assessment approach, and how our Risk Assessment Protocol will help you cover multiple risks.

We also provide in-depth knowledge on the importance of ESG compliance.

In the fourth section, we help you understand the importance of equity collateral, sales & marketing templates and Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines.

The last section is all about your projects! You learn about the Member Access Platform, a software toolsuite developed by our experts to enable you to use  all the material you have learned about in previous sections and apply it to your own projects.
