Welcome to the course, Success in the Classroom - Beyond the Basics. Your success in the classroom begins on the first day of school. In this lesson, I share with you 10 First-Day Promises that you make to your students to ensure that success. I also include a free PDF download of a poster with these promises.
If you can't build and maintain positive relationships with your students, you will not be able to have the success in the classroom that you desire. You will have such a greater impact on your students if you can connect with their heart and not just their brains. In this lesson, I show you 10 ways that amazing teachers make those powerful connections.
They don't teach you this in teacher school. This lesson teaches you three simple words along with a little bit of science to help you from having a melt down in class.
Are you a new teacher, and you’re realizing that there’s more to teaching than what you expected?
Maybe you’ve been teaching for a few years now, and you’re looking to have a greater impact on your students.
Well, I’d like to welcome you to Success in the Classroom – Beyond the Basics.
My name is Sam Rangel, and I’ve been in education for 30 years now, both as a classroom teacher and now as a school administrator, and I have filled this course with some valuable strategies that I have learned over the years in my own experience along with some of the strategies that I have learned from observing some of the amazing teachers that I have known.
This course is designed to go beyond the basic lessons of how to be a teacher.
This course goes deeper and teaches you the strategies that amazing teachers use to make a difference in the lives of their students, and as a result, find more joy and fulfillment in teaching.
I am so grateful that you have chosen to make teaching your life’s work. It’s the best job in the world.
It’s not an easy job by no means, but there are ways to make teaching easier and more fulfilling.
This course will teach you what amazing teachers do to avoid burn out, make a greater difference, and have more success in the classroom.
I hope you join me in this course.
Sam
