Description
Hey, there! My name is Maria Zayani, and I am a certified yoga instructor and stress educator. A warm welcome and thank you for showing interest in my course on how to manage stress.
Experiencing some stress now and then is a natural part of the human experience. However, there is a clear difference between a healthy dose of stress and unhealthy amounts of stress.
Healthy stress is short-term; unhealthy stress is long-term and begins to wear on you, drastically reducing the quality of your life in many areas—personal and career-wise.
If your life mainly consists of stress, I applaud you for being here and seeking change. I myself had struggled for many years with high doses of stress and suffered from multiple burnouts in the past.
But through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, I’ve slowly but steadily been able to carve a more balanced life for myself. Eventually, it even led me on the path to becoming a certified yoga instructor and stress educator.
I care greatly about this topic, as I believe we should not allow stress to overtake or rule our lives. It can be different for everyone—and it can be different for you. Therefore, I am already happy just to have you here, reading the description of this course that I have developed together with The IPS Project, the educational platform about life. This is where you will learn specifically what stress is in order to understand it more clearly, to know how it affects your body and mind, and to learn how to cope with it better and in a healthy way.
Compared to other courses on stress management, the unique approach here in this course is that you will learn how to deal with stress through techniques like meditation, breathing, yoga, and mindfulness.
Mixing scientific studies with ancient wisdom, this course utilizes animations and gorgeous illustrations to share fundamental knowledge and different exercises that help you dial down the amount of stress you are experiencing right now—and eventually even obtain a balanced life.
I would like to invite you to take this step with me towards a better life. I have done my best to create a course that would help you. And if, during or after the course, you have any more questions about the topic of stress, I am right here for you ?.
With that, I hope to welcome you soon in our first lesson—and the start of your learning journey. All the best and have fun!
With love, Maria Zayani

Instructors
The IPS Project is an educational platform on life that brings forward lessons on topics like mental health, relationships, the mind, etc. All of these are part of everyone’s life, but few people know anything about dealing with them.
The IPS Project was founded by Jellis Vaes after he spent six years struggling with loneliness and suicidal thoughts.
At the age of 18, he started traveling alone around the world and did so for the next three years.
During that personal journey of healing, he began forming the idea for The IPS Project: a platform to provide the necessary information on subjects we learn little to nothing about in regular schools, and, in many cases, from our parents.
Through countless practical articles, animated videos, a book library, online courses, workshops, a podcast, and other means, The IPS Project tries to fill that missing gap in life education.

Hey, I am Maria Zayani, a stress educator and a yoga teacher with roots in Kundalini yoga. When I was a little child, my family moved from Iran to Sweden. Because of this, I’ve always been able to see things from the viewpoint of these two worlds and benefit from the best of both, the West and the East. Thus, I believe that there are different ways to understand and experience new knowledge.
Besides my license in the field of stress management, I also have my own personal history of dealing with stress. In 2016, my body and mind became so sick from stress that it completely shut down for a year. I couldn’t work or do any of the things I used to do because of my condition.
I would never wish for anybody to sink as deeply into stress as I had. Therefore, I hope I would be able to help people deal with stress in a healthy way through the work I do.
Methods like meditation and yoga were the biggest tools in my recovery; they also helped me to discover myself and find new direction in my life.
My love for and devotion to meditation and yoga developed out of the time I was sick, but they continue to grow in my heart as I still benefit from them every day of my life.
I truly believe that people should get to know this topic of stress a lot better. So, if you are struggling or living with stress, I want to welcome you to join one of my courses so we can start this healing journey—together.
Maria
Hey! I am Jellis Vaes, a mental health coach, adventurer, and CEO/founder of The IPS Project, an educational platform on life.
The platform was formed out of my struggles with my own demons—loneliness and suicidal thoughts. In essence, I created a platform I wish had existed when I was struggling with my problems.
Through practical articles, online courses, events, and a regular podcast, the platform provides knowledge about life topics such as mental health, relationships, the workings of the mind, etc.—topics that many of us learn little to nothing about while growing up.
When I am not holding therapy sessions or working on The IPS Project, you’ll likely find me out in the mountains or traveling somewhere with a camera in hand. I am an avid adventurer firmly into alpinism, and a passionate travel & adventure photographer/videographer.
I hope I can welcome you soon in one of my courses! Also, if you like, follow me on Instagram or YouTube, where I put out additional helpful and awesome content :).
