  • Lesson 1: Street Fight Wing Chun start with mindset7:50

What is the ‘Street Fight Wing Chun’ system? - Combining the essence of traditional Wing Chun with modern needs, we have created a self-defence martial arts system suitable for urban life.

    - Self-defence techniques are designed to counter violent criminals, not for ring fights or brawls.

    - Training is not just for self-defence, but to help you face adversity with wisdom in life.

    - Let go of pride and embrace new concepts and techniques.

    - Consistent practice is essential to transform knowledge into your own abilities.

    - Mastering concepts is more important than learning methods, as methods evolve while concepts remain constant. Efficient Learning Methods

-Deliberate practice: Beginner: Learn concepts → Apply methods → Receive feedback → Continuously improve.

Advanced: Learn → Apply → Receive feedback → Break out of your comfort zone

    Feynman Learning Method:

Teach what you have learned to others → Discover where explanations break down → Re-learn → Simplify concepts and teach again

  • Lesson 2 : Mental method of Street Fighting - See the big picture7:53
    • Street Self-Defence Concept:

-Street fighting is characterised by extremely fast pace and high unpredictability, with the primary objective being escape and survival.

    - In some cases, situations can be avoided or prepared for in advance, which requires us to first train our observational skills.

    • Observational Skills Training Concept:

    - Through cultivating good habits, watching case videos, and engaging in mental training that simulates everyday environments, we can avoid high-risk areas and reduce the risk of injury.

    • The Diversity of Martial Arts:

    - On the streets, one must not only be prepared for hand-to-hand combat but also be aware of potential weapon threats in the surrounding environment.

    - If an instructor claims that their martial art can achieve street self-defence effectiveness without referencing or learning from other martial arts, they are likely a charlatan.

    • Ring fighting:

    - Ring fighting involves rapid changes in pace and is conducted in a controlled, prepared environment with the goal of knocking out the opponent.

Both parties have psychological and physical preparation, focusing on strategic and technical advantages.

    - KOTS (King of the Street) underground street fights are highly relevant for street self-defence.

    • Summary:

    - Ring fighting and street self-defence are two distinct disciplines with different objectives and training systems.

Understanding their respective characteristics, respecting each other, and learning from one another is the key to self-improvement.

  • Lesson 3 : 7 Days to Learn! Practical Basics (Psychology)10:08
    • Mental toughness is the most important factor!

    - Without strong mental toughness, physical and technical abilities cannot be fully utilised.

    • Mental state control training:

    - Release your power in a short period of time. The effectiveness of the training depends on your level of commitment and imagination.

*Note: This method is not suitable for individuals with heart disease or high blood pressure. The training may involve frightening elements, so please be mentally prepared.

    • -Stage 1: Feel fear

-Use visualization techniques to place yourself in a life-threatening situation and feel the fear of being on the brink of death.

-Return your consciousness to reality and use the Box Breathing technique to calm your emotions.

    Box Breathing Technique Steps

    1) Close your eyes, inhale slowly through your nose for 4 seconds, and feel the air flowing through your lungs.

    2) Hold your breath for 4 seconds, keeping your mouth relaxed and your nostrils open, allowing the breath to hold naturally.

    3) Exhale slowly through your mouth for 4 seconds, imagining negative emotions being expelled along with the breath. Empty the air from your lungs.

    4) Hold your breath for 4 seconds after exhaling, and repeat the above steps at least three times.

    * Notes

    1) Avoid holding your breath for too long, as this may cause dizziness or discomfort. Follow the standard 4-second rhythm.

    2) Avoid inhaling or exhaling too forcefully, as this may cause breathing difficulties or discomfort in the chest area.

    3) Beginners should remain relaxed during practice and avoid practising in overly tense or noisy environments.

    4) Focus your attention on your breathing and counting.

    -Stage Two: Overcoming Fear

    1) Identify the ‘fear.’

    2) Once identified, scream and shout to release all the fear!

    3) Transform the emotion into anger, treat the imaginary enemy (punching bag) as an adversary, and strike it with all your strength!

    4) When nearly exhausted, count down from 5 to 1, counting once per strike

    5) After striking, fully relax and lie down in a starfish position, take deep breaths, inhale through the mouth and exhale through the nose, and regulate your breath

    6) Once your breath is stable, use the Box Breathing to calm your emotions

    • Beginner's mental training concept:

When facing fear, excessive secretion of adrenaline causes the body to exhibit adverse reactions

    ?

Screaming can release excessive pressure and maintain internal stability in emergencies.

    ?

This allows physical ability and technique to be fully utilised.

  • Lesson 3.5 : 7 Days to Learn! Practical Basics (Distance)3:48
    • Distance Control Concept:

    - Distance control is a form of awareness training that helps us better perceive our surroundings.

    - Everyone has their own comfort zone. When someone crosses this boundary, our instinctive reaction is to feel uneasy.

    • Training in Daily Life:

    - We often interact with different people and objects, such as toothbrushes, mobile phones, delivery personnel, colleagues, etc.The key is to gain insight from our daily interactions.

    - Constantly feel the changes in distance, measure distances, pick up objects, reach out to pay, take steps, etc.

    • Hand-to-Hand Combat Distance:

    - Safe Distance: The distance where the opponent must take at least one step forward to attack you, which is ideal.

    - Dangerous Distance: The distance where the opponent can attack you directly without moving.

    • Solo Practice:

    - Hit a hanging bottle using different parts of your body. Familiarise yourself with the offensive and defensive distances of various body parts.

    • Two-person attack and defence game:

    - Through interaction, feel the changes in the distance between you and your opponent, familiarise yourself with the distance of your own limbs, and improve your ability to observe your opponent's movements.

    - At the beginning of practice, there is no need to worry too much about whether the movements are correct; just focus on feeling smooth.

    • Key points of this lesson:

    - How to adjust breathing, mental state, cultivate a sense of distance, and improve your ability to observe yourself and your environment.

  • Lesson 4 : 5 Ways to Improve Response Time7:42
    • Reaction speed:

-Can be divided into visual reactions and tactile reactions. Most combat takes place at varying distances, from far to near.

    • Visual reaction exercises:

Exercise 1: Single-person cockroach swatting exercise

Imagine a rubber ball or water bottle as a cockroach flying around your home.

You must dodge or swat the cockroach.

    Exercise 2: Two-person touch game

Divided into attacking and defending sides

    1. The attacking side can learn: reduce preparatory movements before attacking, improve attack speed

    2. The defending side can learn: judge the opponent's attacking position, enhance visual reaction and hand-eye coordination

    • Tactile reaction training:

*Note* The effects of single-person and two-person exercises differ significantly; it is recommended to practice with a partner as much as possible

Practice 3: Solo Training — Throwing the Iron Chain

Relax your entire body and gently throw the iron chain left and right, feeling the flow of its force. Aim for smooth and gentle movements.

Practice 4: Solo Training — Tai Chi Ball Training

Rotate the Tai Chi ball using different parts of the body, maintaining its roll without dropping it. Relax all joints in the body

Feel the relationship between the body and the ball, maintain body relaxation, focus on controlling the ball's flow, aiming for smoothness

Practice 5: Partner Training — Single Handed Sticking

Stage 1: Classic Single-Handed Sticking, try closing your eyes.

    Stage 2: Free Single-Handed Sticking, both right-handed and left-handed.

Learn to instantly judge your opponent's force flow and position upon contact, react swiftly, and perform effective defence or counterattack.

*The focus should be on feeling, not winning or losing.

Single-handed sticking is just a game; do not rush to win. Try more techniques in practice and review each time.

    • Cockroach Training Concept Diagram:

    Awaken everyone's primal instinctive reactions

    ?

When suddenly startled, our sensory actions become extremely fast and sensitive

    ?

This lightning-fast action is actually latent in everyone's genes

    ?

The training objective is to enter this state and refine it into instinctive movements suitable for street self-defence

  • lesson 5 : 5 Ways to Be Aware of Potential Dangers on the Street6:25
    • Common Street Self-Defense Issues:

    1. Too Many Distractions: When encountering unexpected street fights, people often worry about many things, such as legal consequences and the repercussions of injuries.

    2. Weak Self-Protection Awareness: Underestimating the risks of street fights and overestimating one's abilities.

    3. Insufficient Utilization of the Environment: Not knowing how to use the surrounding environment to minimize harm and escape.

    • Solutions:

To Solve the Problem: Too Many Distractions

Mindset 1: Focus on the Current Crisis

Use all your strength to resolve it and gain dominance, so you can choose your future.

Mindset 2: Be Prepared for Injury

As long as there is a verbal or physical altercation, be prepared for the risk of getting injured.

To Solve the Problem: Weak Self-Protection Awareness

Mindset 3: Fighting is Always the Last Resort

There are always stronger people; you never know your opponent’s background or tricks on the street.

Games can be considered battles, but battles should never be considered games!

Mindset 4: Leave the Scene Quickly

Being in a combative state can easily lead someone to an irreversible situation unknowingly!

If you have the opportunity to escape, do not hesitate and leave immediately.

To Solve the Problem: Insufficient Utilization of the Environment

Mindset 5: Regularly Conduct Mental Training in Daily Life

Think about how to use objects and the environment most effectively.

Continuously conduct mental and practical training in daily life to fully utilize what you've learned.

  • Lesson 6 : Emergency defence techniques-Quickly gain escape time6:47

    Human Weapons:

There are 8 human weapons: head, teeth, shoulders, elbows, hands, hips, knees, and feet.

    Common Attack Weak Points:

    • Eyes:

      • Advantages: Does not require much force to be effective; can affect the opponent's visual response.

      • Disadvantages: Limited stopping power; the opponent may endure the pain and continue to counterattack.

    • Chin:

      • Advantages: Easily causes concussion, rendering the opponent unconscious.

      • Disadvantages: Requires more training and strength.

    • Trachea:

      • Advantages: Affects the opponent's breathing, strong stopping power.

      • Disadvantages: Difficult to hit; can easily cause fatal injuries.

    • Solar Plexus, Ribs (left and right):

      • Advantages: Affects the opponent's breathing.

      • Disadvantages: Requires a strong foundation of strength.

    • Groin:

      • Advantages: Can cause extreme pain; does not require much force.

      • Disadvantages: Less effective if the opponent is in a highly excited state or under the influence of drugs.

    • Knees:

      • Advantages: Disrupt the opponent's mobility, making it difficult for them to pursue; high concealability, easy to hit.

      • Disadvantages: Requires more training to be effective.

    Shadow Boxing Training:

Imagine a virtual opponent and think about how to respond in different distances and scenarios. This virtual opponent can move, defend, counterattack, and even use weapons. Use the learned techniques to spar with the virtual opponent, enhancing coordination skills.

    Summary:

Relying solely on attacking weak points is not foolproof. Lacking basic skills practice will significantly reduce your self-defense effectiveness. Opponents are not inanimate; they will move and block. Having a solid foundation of basic skills is essential for genuinely effective opponent control.

  • Lesson 7 : Mindset Determination From defence to life philosophy6:41

             Living in the Present:

    • Martial arts teach the importance of focusing on the present moment, especially during crises.

    • Game-based training emphasizes feeling and self-awareness over winning or losing.

    • While planning for the future is important, daily reflection and communication with oneself are key to powerful present actions.

      The Game of Life:

    • Human willpower is limited, similar to muscles.

    • The appeal of video games and short videos lies in their use of brain science, which can also enhance learning.

    • Life is likened to a role-playing game with different stages and roles.

    • The choice between exploring new experiences or staying in familiar surroundings is personal, with no right or wrong.

    • It's crucial to end the "game" without regrets and to face life's challenges with a gamer mindset, understanding that achievements and money aren't the ultimate goals.

      Reflecting on Oneself Daily:

    • Documenting daily experiences can help deepen self-understanding.

    • In a world where people often criticize others, it's beneficial to turn that critical eye inward and assess oneself for flaws.

  • Lesson 8 : Two external barriers to progress6:16

    External Obstacles:

    1. Reading:

      • Reading can help us avoid unnecessary mistakes and save time.

      • However, in real life, there is often a significant gap with real cheat sheets:

        • The phrase "knowledge changes fate" is incomplete. The complete version should be "wise use of knowledge can change fate."

        • The most cost-effective way to gain wisdom is to read autobiographies or watch films about famous people.

        • Celebrities condense decades of experience into a book or a film.

        • In reality, many fake cheat sheets exist; it requires time to carefully choose the author.

    2. Master:

      • Teachers can provide immediate feedback and suggest advice tailored to your situation, effectively helping you grow.

      • The downsides are higher costs, along with time and geographical constraints.

      • Another serious issue is fake gurus deceiving novices.

      • Characteristics of bad teachers include shaping a personal image of authority.

      • Characteristics of good teachers include encouraging students to learn independent thinking.

      • "Listen to their words and observe their actions" is a standard for choosing teachers. Besides listening to what they say, observe whether their actions are consistent with their words.
