A good way to come up with your earliest valuation(s) is to have an understanding of your business model and it's relevant numbers. We always recommend that clients (students) get setup with a LivePlan account as they have a great projections tool available on their platform. You can also use LivePlan to come up with a really good business plan and an investor ready pitch deck / website.
Below you will find the downloadable target list made available to students of this course. As a courtesy, please do not circulate with non-students of this course. Thank you.
Attached to this module you will find a "shell deck / template" of an example of a good pitch deck template. Typically you want to keep your deck between 12 - 20 slides including title slides as this is what is standard for early stage companies and what investors are looking to see. You'll usually have to add in a few industry specific / company specific slides which is why this template contains 12 slides.
After filling out this deck appropriately, you'll want to throw a nice format and some nice graphics in. Instead of getting overwhelmed doing this right away, you should start by just filling this template out with black text on white slides. After doing so, you can search online for a site called CreativeMarket which has hundreds of templates available for you to be able to "beautify" your deck.
Don't forget to make PDF versions of your deck as well so that you can circulate them in your emails. Also, videos are frowned upon in pitch decks; try to avoid them at all costs.
Bonus: Using the website Fiverr to get a logo created is a low cost option to make your deck look that much more professional.
