Read through your letter carefully and take note of any additional documents it requires you to submit. For example, I will need to submit IRS form 1120-S (tax return for an S-corp) by April 15, 2022. Also keep in mind that if you change your address, you must notify the IRS and California separately.

Most states have a simple process to starting a mobile PT practice. You register an LLC, and that's pretty much it! However, in California, things aren't this straightforward. It took me several hours and a few headaches to figure out everything that needs to be done legally when I started my practice. There wasn't a comprehensive resource that walked me through the process, and a lawyer would have been expensive. To save you time and frustration, I made this brief course walking you through the process. My course will walk you through the intimidating, but doable process of forming your mobile PT practice in California. By purchasing this course, in addition to the content hosted here on Udemy, you will also gain access to a private Facebook group where you can bounce questions off of me and other California physical therapists. Please note that I will not teach you how to run your business. There are plenty of other helpful resources that focus on this, some of which I have used myself.
