Description
It is fascinating that the stars have a certain life cycle. They are born in nebulae and after living for millions or billions of years and then die a spectacular death, giving birth to new stars and the cycle goes on…
The star stuff remains one of our most favourite topics and we are sure you will love it! As beautiful and amazing they look, stars have their own mystery which has always intrigued humans giving them clues about the origins of the universe. As the stars live for way longer than one human life, we observed many different stars in various stages of their life cycle. The observations noted through centuries and intensive studies conducted over all these years, we have found the answers of many mysterious questions about the stars. In this course, we discuss the star's life cycle: how and where are the stars born, why they are so different from each other, and how they ultimately die. We also discuss a master diagram which helps us understand various stars and their characteristics. This course being a beginner level is an important one to understand upcoming advanced courses.
Are you ready to explore the fascinating story of the stars from their birth to death and beyond? Let's dive deeper into the starry sky in this course then!
Who this course is for:
- Anyone who would like to know about the lifecycle of the stars
- Beginners in astronomy
Instructor
We undertake initiatives to create a launch pad into the world of Astronomy. Our activities are structured to induce the curiosity amongst the masses. Activities such as stargazing sessions, study visits and lecture series create a unique attitude towards space sciences. This enables bringing Astronomy to fit within a sphere of understanding which benefits every individual.
‘ASTRON’ works primarily for the spread of knowledge of Astronomy among the public to make their own contribution as far as possible. It has been actively working on the propagation of Astronomy in purely scientific temperament. Astronomy is the study of the physical universe, the entire cosmos around us, and as such is a fabulous and fascinating challenge. Unlike other physical sciences where the investigator can design an experiment to measure a particular quantity, Astronomy is largely an observational science. Astron is an activity of “ Swargiya Haribhau Kulkarni Vishwast Manch (SHK Trust) ” bearing registration number E/35001201/2001 working since 1997.
