MORE ABOUT THE COURSE:

SQL Server 2022, is the most Azure-enabled release of SQL Server yet. Besides the many new features and enhancements for the on-premises Database Engine, it also includes a large number of significant Azure integration features. In this course, we will be discussing all these, in order to get a clear picture about all the new features and enhancements in this version of SQL Server, that is SQL Server 2022.

We will begin the course by discussing about, how SQL Server evolved to a hybrid data platform, by listing the Azure integration features that were added in each release of SQL Server up to the 2022 version. Then, we will start discussing about the new features and enhancements, by first discussing about the Business Continuity features and enhancements such as Bidirectional HA/DR to Azure SQL Managed Instance, Contained Availability Groups and other related enhancements. Right after these, we will be discussing about the security features and enhancements. To this end, among other, we will be talking about SQL Server ledger tables and see a relevant live demonstration.

In the next section, we will be discussing about the Performance Features and Enhancements in SQL Server 2022, and more precisely, about the Query Store enhancements and Built-in Intelligent Query Processing enhancements and see some interesting live demonstrations on Query Store and Parameter Sensitive Plan Optimization.

Last but not least, we will be discussing about other features and enhancements, such as: Azure Synapse Link, Management Features & Enhancements and T-SQL Enhancements.
