In this session we will think about how to make our villain sound evil

•We will look at the techniques writers use to show a character’s personality

•Start to understand why each word we choose is so important

In this session we will consider how to use tense and perspective to make our writing sound professional. We will:

•look at the different tense and perspective options writers have

•start to understand why a writer might choose a particular tense and perspective

•be able to write in various tenses and perspectives

In this session we are going to look at how to create mystery in our writing. Mystery is important because it engages the reader by leaving them asking questions. We will:

•look at the impact mystery has on the reader

•start to understand how the writer chooses what information to give to the reader and what to leave out
