Do you feel like a total newbie when you open a spreadsheet? Let me help you and take you from beginner to intermediate in 2 hours! In this new 2022 course, you'll learn the basics of spreadsheets, how to use Google Sheets more efficiently, and different ways to make your tables look good and easy to understand. All in the context of a translation and localization project.
At the end of the course you'll be able to:
Understand why spreadsheets are important
Insert and edit simple data
Format your data
Turn a bunch of data into good tables
Navigate tables more efficiently
Filter and sort your tables
Use basic formulas
Make your spreadsheets pretty
Work with Google Sheets using a keyboard
During the course, you'll be creating a spreadsheet for a new localization project. Follow along and you'll master the basics while doing something practical. Together we'll add basic project information, turn CSV analysis into a table, structure and format the data, apply discounts, and calculate the budget.

I prefer Microsoft Excel. Can this course help me?
All the things we teach in this course are also applicable to Microsoft Excel. Join our community on Discord to get support if something doesn't work for you in Excel.
Do I need any prior knowledge to complete the course?
Nope, you don't need to have any experience with spreadsheets. I’ll teach you everything you need to know from scratch. All you need is a computer, a free Google account… and some good coffee helps too!
What is the course format?
You'll encounter structured video lessons to follow. It's important that you practice what you see in the course because I believe that's the best way how you can learn—by doing!
We also have a community platform on Discord where you can engage with other students and instructors.
