From an early age we're taught to blend in, follow the rules, and create a life that others approve of. As such, we become doubtful of our own desires and truths. We don't believe we're worthy or deserving of following our dreams.

Years ago, I held a *deep* seated grudge against my father. This was a dark period in my life when I sought the unconditional love of my father, only to be told he wanted nothing to do with me.
His actions and behaviors devastated me, and my heart shattered within my chest. For a long time, I blamed every bad thing on him. After all, he was my father and it was his job to protect (not hurt) me, right?
At the time, my was life was a disaster. I was in financial ruin. Deeply depressed. Uncertain about where to turn, how to find purpose, and what to do with my life. When I turned inward and uncovered all of the hurt, sat with it, and then released it I went from being miserable to being joyful and free.
And the same is possible for you.
