The average reading speed for student is two hundred words per minute with a comprehension of 60 per cent. But what if I was to you that by the end of this course I'll be able to increase that by 200 percent by at least 400 words per minute and a comprehension of 80 percent.
Before we move forward you need to know what's holding you back. There's five bad habits we learned when we were children that's holding our reading speed back.
What makes StudyFast unique is the methodology that I've created. Every speed reading company to date teaches reading speed first and then memory however that's flawed.
Before we get on to that methodology of training your memory we first need to look at your mindset and the thoughts and perception that you have about speed reading.
After the fact the myth quiz I'm sure you're quite surprised by some of your answers. Now speed reading is only limited by your thoughts and beliefs I needed to come to the course with an open mind.
Now before we get on to memory training I need you to do three things for me with that paper and pen which I hope you grabbed when I told you to I need you to write down just three goals.
Now you've have finished a pretty dense heavy material about how your brain and memory works. We're now going to look at why we use visual images during speed reading.
So how does your bank card help your memory? And the reason that is because science has shown that your short-term memory has a limit of two to four pieces of information.

Now we take a look at mind maps and how they are used for not only an effective note taking tool but to increase your memory and thinking process.
Storytelling. We've all done it when we were kids. But I'm going to show you how we can combine that with mind maps to remember that information.
The next technique we're going to use to take that mind map and store it into your long-term memory is memory palaces. Now for the memory palace we're going to use your bedroom.
Now onto my favourite part and the most exciting for you and probably the reason why you've involved in this course. We're now going to start increasing your reading speed.
So I still hope you got that bank card out the table for good reason because you're now going to use it for this next reading a drill called gliding and the habit that is going to address is regression.
This next drill has nothing to do with invitations RSVP stands for rapid serial visual presentation. It's an online tool and you'll find the link below in the video but until then let me explain a little bit about why I love RSVP.

Now I bet you didn't think that he'd learn to juggle on this course. Well juggling actually helps with your peripheral vision however for speeding reading you know you are operating at a sub-optimal level.
I hope by now that you learn how to juggle but seriously you want need to learn to juggle to become a speed reader. The way you can do the peripheral drill online is extremely simple.
If RSVP was my favourite technique. This is my second favourite and probably the most practical one that you can use pacers.
How to speed read anything you've gone through the hard work and now it's time to reap your rewards. But you also need to know how we're going to use your techniques in a practical sense which a lot of speed reading training doesn't do.
The first step to the mythology the F The first assessment. This is nice and simple. All you need to remember is rapid pre-reading.
The second stage is the active reading what speed reading technique are you going to use? This is a process where you need to actually do that rapid pre-read and assess what is it online or hard copy and then need to go through the checklist.
Next we move on to our third stage storage. How are you going to store the information you're taken in using the speed reading techniques. Very simple. We go back to our three old friends.
And finally we come to the final step. T stands for transfer. We're going to look at the three stages you can use to transfer this into your long term memory.
It's been an emotional journey but we've made it through it together. But one final thing to make sure you're reading speed not only maintains but increases.
And finally thank you. It's not been easy. And I warned you at the begin that you might be met with frustration but you've persisted.
So how do you speed read if you have dyslexia? Speed reading isn't limited by your physiology it's affected by your beliefs and thoughts.

Our online courses are for life-long learners
Most people don’t realise you can improve your reading speed. Many of us believe we are either a good or a bad reader. The truth is there is no such thing as a bad reader- just an untrained reader. Many people, feel they are a bad reader because in school you're taught WHAT to learn but not HOW to learn... there was never a class called speed reading.
What our learners say:
Sara - Undergraduate Student
"Everything is justified so concisely and with the science to corroborate it. It also feels more like a personal course than it does someone just talking at you. It was also just a friendly and calm course; it was almost refreshing to turn to the next section.
I also loved the extra bit of guidance at the end for people with dyslexia. I don't personally have it but it was nice that those with possible reading difficulties were addressed as well."
