Description
The Specialist Certificate in Psychoanalytic Therapy course is our introductory training program to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to apply Psychoanalytic Therapy techniques.
Discover how psychoanalysis was developed by Sigmund Freud and continues to evolve with those who have come after him. You’ll learn about the studies undertaken to prove its effectiveness, how it is used to help clients, and the qualities and training needed to apply psychoanalytical techniques as a professional.
In this introductory specialist certificate program, participants will be introduced to the field of psychoanalysis and will learn tools, practice, and applied strategies that support personal, organizational, and community well-being. The certificate in psychoanalytic therapy course begins with grounding in the psychoanalyst practitioner model and accompanying theory. Emphasis is placed on learning to use the psychoanalyst practitioner model to specifically treat various issues in therapy. Participants are taught how to apply psychoanalysis in practice, as well as in other settings.
The online course will teach learners the theoretical and empirical foundations of psychoanalysis model of human success, optimal functioning, how well-being is measured, and what activities increase human flourishing in various contexts and settings. Learners will explore the common elements of psychotherapy and the various ways it can help clients in either one-to-one, couples or group therapy settings and how the clients themselves can get the most from their sessions.

A little about myself, I am a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society, and a Registered Clinical Psychologist with Singapore Psychological Society. I have been practicing as a psychologist since 2012 across health care, hospitals, community setting, and currently runs my own psychology clinic base in Singapore - Rogerian Psychology Centre. I also lectures for several higher education institutions in Singapore for psychology related topics. I have completed my Masters in Clinical Psychology from University of Texas at Tyler (USA), and PhD in Behavioral Science from Universiti Teknologi Petronas (Malaysia).
