- Holds a minimum of High-School grade 10 / O-Levels / Diploma in any area / Other equivalent qualification
- Demonstrate a good and proficient command of English language.
- Learners above the age of 30 years old who do not meet the above but have significant work and life experience are encouraged to apply.
Description
The Specialist Certificate in Positive Psychology course is our introductory training program to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to apply Positive Psychology techniques.
It is designed around the model of Flourishing developed by Dr. Martin Seligman, founder of Positive Psychology, and enhanced with an added emphasis on physical well-being. Graduates integrate and enhance their personal and professional lives through their structured training in flourishing and measurably build their well-being.
We give our graduates the skills and materials to put their training to use right away and create sustainable work for themselves in the world.
Positive Psychology is a discipline that examines the intersections of body, brain, culture, and science to develop tools and practices that enhance human flourishing and well-being. It is designed around the model of Flourishing developed by Dr. Martin Seligman, founder of Positive Psychology, and enhanced with an added emphasis on physical well-being. It consists of six modules focusing on increasing Positivity, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Achievement and Vitality (PERMA-V™). Graduates integrate and enhance their personal and professional lives through their structured training in flourishing and measurably build their well-being.

Hi everyone! It is nice to e-meet everyone here. My name is Michael and I am the course coordinator and principal instructor for PSYREC Academy.

A little about myself, I am a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society, and a Registered Clinical Psychologist with Singapore Psychological Society. I have been practicing as a psychologist since 2012 across health care, hospitals, community setting, and currently runs my own psychology clinic base in Singapore - Rogerian Psychology Singapore. I also lectures for several higher education institutions in Singapore for psychology related topics. I have completed my Masters in Clinical Psychology from University of Texas at Tyler (USA), and PhD in Behavioral Science from Universiti Teknologi Petronas (Malaysia).
