Description

The Specialist Certificate in Counselling Skills course is our training program to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to apply Basic Counselling techniques in real world application. We give our graduates the skills and materials to put their training to use right away and create sustainable work for themselves in the world.

The certificate in counselling skills program begins with grounding in the counselling skills model and accompanying theory. Emphasis is placed on learning to use the counselling skills model to specifically treat various issues in counselling. Participants are taught how to apply counselling skills in practice, as well as in other settings.

In this specialist certificate program, participants will be introduced to the field of counselling skills and will learn tools, practice, and applied strategies that support personal, organizational, and community well-being. The online courses in counselling skills teach learners the theoretical and empirical foundations of Rogerian psychotherapy model of human success, optimal functioning, how well-being is measured, and what activities increase human flourishing in various contexts and settings.
