Description

Spanish for Health Care is a multilevel Spanish program, intended for English-speaking professionals who want to start with the language or to reinforce their communication skills.

The goal is your communication with patients. The book will introduce the dialogue in order to understand symptoms, and convey diagnostics and medical instructions, such as referrals to specialists, prescriptions, or procedures.

Its methodology (Using English to Learn Spanish) takes advantage of both the simplicity of Spanish and its similarities with English to meet the goal and teach you the language as quickly as possible. For this reason, many of the Spanish words that you will find in this course are similar in English and, consequently, self explanatory (as computador, pulmonar, or hospital).

The course is organized in these four sections that correspond to milestones: sounds, words, sentences, and verbs.  First you will learn to read and write in Spanish; then you will learn tips to acquire vocabulary efficiently; finally, you will build your own sentences and communicate.

The course includes 17 video lessons, from the Alphabet to the Preterit, covering five tenses. Each lesson has a language topic, a medical vocabulary theme, and a quiz.

Who this course is for:

  • professionals in healthcare fields, nurses, doctors, physicians, paramedics, technicians, chiropractors, social workers, psychologists, nurticionists, dentist
