Spanish for Christians, Level 1

A Spanish course specifically tailored for Christians for communication in the context of worship (songs, prayer, Bible study), typical interactions with church members and visitors, and evangelism.  This is a self-paced video course with accompanying exercises.  Involve yourself actively by reading along, singing, and completing communicative tasks.  Level 1, ultimately part of a larger series, will give you the Spanish tools you need to introduce yourself, describe people and things, and praise God.  The complete course provides all the main grammar structures and vocabulary required to be creative in expressive language and navigate in receptive language.

The course is designed for adults, from high school on.  Level 1 anticipates no prerequisite knowledge of Spanish, though even those with some background in Spanish learning will find it useful, and subsequent levels ramp up quickly as structures and vocabulary are acquired and applied.  In terms of pedagogical method, as much of the target language is used as possible, and often new terms are introduced by context, images, and cognates instead of simple English definitions.  This extra challenge imitates natural learning and ultimately aids in comfort with and retention of Spanish. 

The creator, Brigham Eubanks, learned Spanish for use in evangelism.  He combines his own personal experience, as well as 14 years of professional teaching experience, to formulate the course he WISHES were available to him when first learning Spanish!  May it be a blessing to those willing to invest time to learn a new language for this good work.
