    Introduction

    Welcome to this course on Sound Therapy for Children where you will learn techniques to create enjoyable, interactive, educational, and relaxing experiences for children from 2.5 years upwards.

    My 30 years of working in Childcare, which included running my own Montessori Pre School for the last 17 years, has been the basis and inspiration for this course, as well as my experience gained from over 25 years of working in holistic therapies, primarily in Sound Therapy.

    I have personally witnessed remarkable results in working with children from a wide range of ability and disability through the use of therapeutic sound. I combine my extensive experience in Early Childhood Education with Sound Therapy techniques, in this easy to follow course, where you will learn how to aid your child’s healthy brain development through a wide range of educational stimulation, as well as entertainment and relaxation benefits for you both to enjoy.

    I wrote this course during the Lockdown in 2020, primarily in the hope of helping mothers at home with young children in mind, but the material in this course is also suitable for use by qualified professionals in Montessori classrooms, Playgroups and other childcare settings as well as in Primary or Elementary Schools. Additionally it is suitable for use in Child Therapy sessions where it may be found particularly beneficial for children with varying degrees of autism, ADHD and other cognitive and emotional spectrum disorders.

    In this Course I will guide you on how you can introduce children to meditative experiences such those as used in Sound Therapy. Doing so from an early age helps children learn how to calm their minds and bodies, so that they can relax more easily, sleep better and manage stressful situations in a more positive manner. In this Course I will also guide you in how to introduce a wide range of exercises based on the Montessori Method of education, known to be super beneficial for healthy child brain development.

    Sound Therapy with Singing Bowls and other musical instruments has been scientifically proven to be highly beneficial for optimum health and well-being for both adults and children alike, so I am sure you are going to enjoy this course as much as the children will.

Welcome to this course on Sound Therapy for Children, where you will learn how to use techniques to create enjoyable, interactive, educational, and relaxing experiences for children from 2.5 years and upwards.

In this Course I will guide you in how to introduce children to techniques used in Sound Therapy.

Doing so from an early age teaches children how to calm their minds and bodies so that they can relax more easily, sleep better and manage stressful situations in a more positive manner.

I will also guide you through educational exercises based on the Montessori Method, which perfectly compliment the Sound Therapy techniques, and, which you can easily do at home with your child. These are designed to optimise your child's brain development while being fun and exciting for the child who is encouraged to discover and understand the world around them with greater joy and confidence.

I wrote this Course during the Lockdown of 2020, primarily in the hope of helping mothers at home with young children, but the material in this course is suitable for use in Early Childhood Education settings eg. Montessori classrooms, Playgroups, as well as in Primary or Elementary Schools. I have based this course on my extensive years of experience as a Montessori Teacher and Sound Therapy Tutor. I hope you will enjoy this Course with the children you love.

You will need to comply with whatever rules and regulations apply in relation to Child Protection, Education and Welfare in your jurisdiction. Further training in Sound Therapy to Practitioner level will be required in order to use the course content professionally.
