This video is an introduction video which goes over briefly what is going to be covered in this course on Sound Design within Studio One
We quickly go over how to see that your Audio and MIDI Devices are setup correctly
I will start off by showing you how to create your own unique bass sounds with the Subtractive Synth, Mojito
Studio One v4 includes a new Multi Instrument, where you can layer up instruments and effects to build up a complex instrument. I walk you through the Multi Instrument user interface and how you can build your own layered instruments
Next, we look at how to pull audio files into the sampler, Sample One XT to build up your own sampled instruments. I walk you through the interface and what parameters can be tweaked on your sampled instrument.
This expands on the last video on Sample One XT and it shows you how you can import a beat into Sample One XT, and then slice it up and create a new programmed beat from the original beat audio file.
In this video I show you how you can take your sampled instruments further by processing them with the included LFO's, and Effects within the Sample One XT sampler
In this video I show you around the Mia Tia synth interface and how it builds up rich sounds through its multi oscillator architecture and its effects and modulation matrix
In this video we go into more depth with Mia Tai, and I show you how you can create your own evolving pad synth sound, using the multi oscillators in the synth and choose different waveforms, filter, and use modulation to create movement with the synth
In this video I show you how to create that classic sidechained pumping effect with your instruments, using a long sustained pad sound, and a kick drum as a source. I show you the routing needed and the effects you can use to create this sound
In this video I show you how you can use reveresed sounds to create transitions effects in your song arrangements.
