For this course, we recommend using FOAM or PADDED nunchaku for your safety.
You do not need a partner for any of the sets or forms presented - this is a SOLO COURSE.
This course will take you through the first three ranks (belt) requirements for the North American Nunchaku Association's system.
9th KYU (pronounced "Q") - White belt with a yellow stripe
8th KYU - Yellow Belt
7th KYU - Yellow Belt with an orange stripe
Each rank contains four "sets' - or basic combinations and skills.
The Second and third ranks also include beginning forms (kata)
We will cover the basics of nunchaku from basic strikes and blocks - to spins.
If you are an experienced martial artist, I am confident you will find techniques to fill in the gaps and hopefully some new and exciting idea.
If you are brand new to the nunchaku, this course will start you off on the basics and progress through more advanced techniques.
