Description
This course is developed to help anyone building a career leverage social media to accelerate their career progress. I developed this course in response to my seeing so many career coaching practice, underutilizing social media in their career strategies. I have benefited a great deal in building my own career care and want to help others do the same.
This course will focus on:
1) defining what we mean by social media and the ways in which it can be used to advance one's career.
2) covering the 1-9-90 Rule of Social Participation which helps one choose their best role in any social situation
3) providing examples and cases as to how to provide and gain value from social media in a way that aids one's value contribution and career presence
4) providing a roadmap for good next steps to take in developing one's own "professional social media plan".
On completion, course attendees will be able to develop and execute a personalized plan which:
1) identifies which social media platform to use,
2) selects career interest areas to contribute to, and benefit from, within social media platforms,
3) career outcomes are desired from use of professional social media,
4) professional social media activities to execute to achieve desired outcomes over time,
5) risks to proactively manage in the execution of a professional social media plan.

- This course is for anyone who is building a career and not yet maximizing social media as a tool for articulating their career value and advantaging their career progress.
Instructor
Craig A. DeLarge is a leadership coach at WiseWorking Leadership Development where he develops and delivers content that enables his clients to conduct more meaningful and effective careers. He is also a digital healthcare strategist and mental health advocate & educator at The Digital Mental Health Project, where he produces education and research helping to improve the "responsible" adoption of digital technology in behavioral health services & therapies.
In his career, as a digital & healthcare marketer, strategist, and educator, he has worked in world-class firms like Novo Nordisk, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck & Co., Takeda, and Johnson & Johnson.
He has also taught marketing, communications, leadership, and business ethics at several colleges, including Temple University, Philadelphia University, Chestnut Hill College, St. Joseph’s University, and Penn State University. His career is focused on “improving health” & “developing leaders”.
He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Marketing and Design Management from Philadelphia University (USA) (BSc), and from the University of Westminster (UK) (MBA), respectively. He is currently a graduate Public Health student at King’s College, London.
He is also a certified professional coach and published author of The WiseWorking Handbook (2014). He resides in Philadelphia, PA, USA.
