Soap making can be explored through several methods, from cold process and hot process to the much more accessible melt-and-pour technique, which is the focus of this course.
Melt-and-pour soap making is an ideal entry point into soap crafting. By working with ready-made soap bases, you can skip the complexities of lye handling and focus instead on the creative aspects of soap making—such as selecting fragrances, colourants, additives, and moulds. This approach allows you to create customised soaps safely and efficiently, even as a beginner.
In this course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of melt-and-pour soap making, including how to choose the right soap base, work with natural colourants and essential oils, and incorporate exfoliants and additives without compromising the final product. The lessons are designed to be clear, practical, and easy to follow.
You’ll also see step-by-step demonstrations of multiple melt-and-pour soap recipes, giving you a solid foundation to create soaps for personal use, gifting, or further experimentation. In addition to the core lessons, the course includes bonus resources to support continued practice and creativity.
Update – December 2025:
A new Holiday Special resource has been added under the Final Notes section, featuring festive melt-and-pour soap recipes designed for seasonal gifting and creative variations.
By the end of the course, you’ll feel confident working with melt-and-pour soap bases and customising your own soap bars with intention and ease.
