In this short introduction, I show you the kind of things you'll be able to do by the time you finish the course.
Here's where you will learn to hit notes with accuracy & move along the length of a single string to create a basic solo. We also cover how to avoid getting unwanted noise from the slide.
In this lecture we look at the tricky art of moving from one string to another with the slide. This is where many players generate LOTS of wrong notes & I show you how to avoid this here. There are exercises to guid you and a solo to learn.
In this section we look at all of the pentatonic shapes on the neck of the guitar, and how to apply them to slide. We cover the basics of the CAGED system which will enable you to play over any chord (or chord sequence) on any part of the neck. There are a couple of solos to learn and an exercise to help you find your way around the fretboard.
This lecture is all about learning licks. I will show you how to use some basic music theory to come up with new, melodic licks as well as translating your existing licks for use with a slide. There are some "stock" licks to learn and a solo to get to grips with. You also get a stack of backing tracks to jam along with.
