Description

This course will greatly assist a young child, ages 5 and older, to correctly write the English letters in a basic Slant Manuscript Handwriting Style. Included with this course are videos for each letter and Letter Writing Directions Worksheets (PDF) that can be downloaded and printed at home or in the classroom as many times as needed.

This course will greatly assist your child to easily learn the correct way to form Slant Manuscript Letters. This course in Slant Manuscript is a little more advanced that the Manuscript course. The student should first become familiar with Manuscript Letter Writing before working with the Slant Manuscript Writing Style.

Slant Manuscript is a precursor writing style and leads into the Cursive Writing Style.

Have your child pause the videos as needed to fully understand how these letters are formed. Ensure he follows and stays within the top, middle and bottom lines of the line worksheets. See the CompuRead Teacher’s Manual for detailed instructions about Body Writing.

To greatly assist your child in learning the Slant Manuscript Handwriting Style, it's recommended to use a learning technique known as "Body Writing." It's an outstanding method to teach a young child the letters of the alphabet using his body's large muscles.

Ensure you also follow the directionality of the letters and do not introduce letters that are not related to each other. Again see the CompuRead Teacher’s Manual for complete details on how to teach letter writing to a young child using directionality.

Who this course is for:

  • Designed for parents and teachers of young children to teach the letter writing process. These videos can be worked with the entire class or a single student.
