INTRODUCTION TO SKINCARE

This course starts with the professionalism and client selection in the esthetic industry. The course goes through the layers of the skin and their functions. Analyzing the skin aids in providing a preventative approach to skin care. Studying the internal and external effects on the skin will lead to how to care for the skin. The course touches on practical cleansing and exfoliating techniques as well as massage movements that assist in maintaining the structure of healthy skin and work towards repair of skin abnormalities. The use of professional products can provide tools for educating the client on the home care that must assist with the treatments being provided. Students will begin to understand the power in knowledge about the skin and the association with providing home care education to meet the bottom line.

Estheticians have an opportunity to enhance their skills and increase revenue while servicing the client. Educating yourself provides the tools to reach these goals.

My goal is to work with those who are interested in getting into the Beauty Industry and also those who need a refreshment in enhancing the skills. I provide knowledge from my own experience as well as ongoing education I continue with. The industry is constantly growing and moving which allows for professional growth ongoing.
