When I first decided to put this course together, I was sick of just giving people backing tracks and saying "this is in key, it will work in this backing... dow go be creative!" it wasn't yielding the best results, so I thought "What if I show my students how I would go about composing some modal solos. I thought it'd be cool to use a different note and cover all 7 modes to get guitarists familiar with the sounds and moods that go with all 7 modes.
In this course you'll learn how to play solos in every mode, as well as identifying and accentuating their unique characteristics. You'll see rock and metal solos in the modes of:
*A Dorian - (Minor feeling, rocky, sombre yet hopeful)
*B Mixolydian - (Major, good time stadium rock, uplifting)
*C# Aeolian - (Minor feeling, sad, melancholy)
*D Ionian - (Major, happy, joyous)
*E Lydian - (Major, spacey, dreamy)
*F# Phrygian - (Minor, tense, thrash, dark)
*G Locrian - (Evil, tense, quirky, dark jazz)
All of the solos come with a solo demonstation and soloing options, including scales, arpeggios and modal accentuation.
Each lesson will include a backing track (without solo), a full track (with solo) a PDF with all important points from the lesson as well as gpx, gp and PDF tabs for each solo.
By the end of this course you'll have some new chops and approaches to soloing and composing with modes.
So pick up your guitar and get ready to shred!
