I've been working professionally as a web developer since 2011, coming from a Computer Science background. I fell in love with the web and how quickly I could get an application up and running and accessible to the whole world.
I found my way into e-commerce, working mainly with Shopify when I joined Diff in 2015. We've grown with the platform, helping businesses of all sizes build great shopping experiences as Shopify Plus partners. Our work has helped us grow tremendously, from employee number 22 when I joined, to over 100 team members in 2019. We are ranked 21st fastest growing company on the 2019 Growth 500.
At Diff, my day to day consists of mentoring developers and helping them grow in their career, while delivering large Shopify theme projects. This is the experience I bring to the course, to help developers ramp up efficiently on the Shopify platform. From quickly understanding the basics, to tricks and tips you can use to make the most out of the platform and get around limitations, the Diff University courses will help get a project of any size up and running.
My work has allowed me to know the Shopify platform in and out. The size and variety of clients we build sites for makes it that we had to push the platform to its limits and find creative solutions around some of its limitations to achieve what we need to build.
Diff's multi-disciplinary expertise also allows us to also bring in best practices for integrations, user experience and SEO into our development, to help build a website that is ready to meet the standards of today's e-commerce.
