Let me first congratulate you for joining this practical learning programme. Let me assure you, this will prove one of the best decisions of your life.
To begin with let me tell you something about this programme.
This programme is specially designed for mental health but it also takes care of physical health and spiritual growth, too. So, it is in fact, three in one programme for physical health, mental well-being and spiritual growth.
In fact, physical health, mental well-being, and spiritual growth are interdependent and greatly influence each other. Healthy body is must for a healthy mind; healthy mind is must for a healthy body; and without healthy body and healthy mind, there is no scope for any spiritual growth.
Unlike conventional mental health programmes which manage mental issue symptomatically, this programme manages mental issues at root level.
This programme is based on working principles of inner science and takes care of the root cause of mental issues and this is what makes this programme very unique.
Naturally, question will arise in your mind, what is inner science? And how does it differ from conventional science?

Conventional science is objective, deals with the matter, and is based on objective evidences; while inner science is subjective, deals with life energy and consciousness, and is based on subjective experiences.
Convention science tries to know, what is out there? And how does it function? Inner science tries to know, what is mind? And how does it function? What is life? And how does it function? What is consciousness? And how does it function?
But on the very first place, can we ever call mind, life, and consciousness, something very scientific?
Out of my inner experience, I happened to recognize working principles of the human mind and consciousness. And that is the very reason, I call it a science… the inner science.
Now, let me tell you something about inner science.
But before I say you something about it, I would like to say you something about my inner experience, which may help you understand this programme.
So, be ready to face something very unbelievable!
My inner experience, I call it inner science, is something very new and on master has said it ever before! So, you will not find any reference for it! And that could be the very reason, you may find it very difficult, not only to believe, even to conceive it.
My inner experience, not only does not coincide fully with the present state of philosophy, spirituality, and psychology; it does not even justify it fully. So, there are all the chances that it may go against it!
So, I would like to advise you, while passing through this program, keep you mind little open, that will help you understand inner science and enter into your own experience.
Now, let us see briefly, what inner science is all about?
You will not believe if I say, inner science is not something foreign to you!
Inner science is something that is going on moment to moment within every human being. It is such an intrinsic a part of every human life that, no one can ever afford to neglect it. It is in fact the very foundation of every human life. Without it, life cannot happen anymore!
There is definite inner science; how body, mind, and consciousness; all work together in synergy. Everything and anything that happens with the human life, is fundamentally governed by working principles of the inner science. If you could manage it, you can manage your life, the way you wanted!
Now, let me tell you something about this programme.
This programme is based on working principles of inner science.
Every technique in this programme, is based on inner science life energy principles. So, it fixes the things at root level and that is what makes this programme very unique.

Breath is the connecting link between body and consciousness.
Breathing-in (Inspiration-Inhalation) and Breathing-out (Expiration-Exhalation), comprises one breath cycle.
Breathing-in is linked with the life. So long breathing-in continues, life continues to happen. Life begins with the first breathing-in (Inspiration-Inhalation) and life comes to an end with the last breathing-out (Expiration-Exhalation).
Breath is the very foundation of every human life. Anything and everything that happens with the human life is fundamentally based on the way one breathes. With certain breathing, life becomes happy, peaceful, and meaningful and with certain breathing, it becomes miserable.
In fact, physical health, mental well-being and spiritual growth, is fundamentally based on the way one breathes. If you could manage your breath, you can manage your life the way you wanted. Manage your breath and manage your life!
Now, let us move forward to learn how to manage the breath, to manage our life, the way we wanted!

Here we go.
# Natural Breathing.
Naturally, we take 12 to 20 breaths per minutes. For understanding point of view, we consider 10 breaths per minutes, so it goes to 6 seconds per single breath, sparing 3 seconds for breathing-in and 3 seconds for breathing-out.

# Augmented Breathing-in.
With natural breathing-in, air is allowed to enter in naturally without any effort, while with augmented breathing-in, air is sucked in voluntarily in a controlled manner, little slowly and smoothly, for 5 to 7 seconds.

# Augmented Breathing-in and Slow Breathing-out without Pause.
While breathing-in, air is sucked in voluntarily; slowly, and smoothly, for 5 to 7 seconds (augmented breathing-in) and in continuation, air is breathed-out slowly and smoothly in a controlled manner for 5 to 7 seconds (slow breathing-out).
Here, there is no pause between two augmented breathing cycle.

Now, practice augmented breathing-in and slow breathing-out without pause, for few minutes. Match your breathing with that of video. (Lecture 7).
When satisfied, perform natural breathing-in for 5 to 7 seconds and slow breathing-out for 5 to 7 seconds without pause, for few minutes, with closed eyes, by yourself and when satisfied, move to learn and practice augmented breathing-in and slow breathing-out with pause.
# Augmented Breathing-in and Slow Breathing-out with Pause.
While breathing-in, air is sucked in voluntarily; slowly, and smoothly, for 5 to 7 seconds (augmented breathing-in) and in continuation, air is breathed-out slowly and smoothly in a controlled manner for 5 to 7 seconds (slow breathing-out), followed by 2 to 3 seconds pause (holding the breathing).
Here, there is 2 to 3 seconds pause in between two augmented breathing cycle.

Now, practice augmented breathing-in for 7 seconds and slow breathing-out for 7 seconds with 3 seconds pause, with open eyes, for few minutes. Match your breathing with that in video. (Lecture 9)
After adequate practice, perform augmented breathing-in for 5 to 7 seconds and slow breathing-out for 5 to 7 seconds with 3 seconds pause, with closed eyes, for few minutes by yourself and when satisfied, move forward to next section to learn few breath energy flux techniques.
Right now, we are not going into detail about what breath energy flux techniques are all about? and how do they work? We will see it later.
For the time being, have a look at general instructions for learning and practicing breath energy flux techniques.
# General Instructions for learning and practicing breath energy flux techniques.
1.. Always sit on the ground or on the bed. If you could not sit on the ground or bed, you may sit on the chair, provided back and sides of the chair (side handles), not touching your body.
2.. Except cloth, nothing else should be in touch with your body. So far as possible; avoid hat, spectacles, extra clothing on head or shoulder. Avoid any kind of side or back support, unless mandatory.
3.. Avoid direct exposure of light on eyes. There should not be uneven exposure of the light on both eyes. Always sit with your back facing the light source.
4.. Strictly avoid any kind of music, not even meditation music! So far as possible, avoid or reduce the level of continuous external sounds, like sound of revolving fan or refrigerator or air conditioner or other gadgets. Keep at a distance to reduce the level of external sound.
5.. Maintain the specified position and posture. From time to time, go on correcting your position and posture.
Now, let us move to learn few breath energy flux techniques.

Here we go.

When satisfied, go for augmented breathing-in for 5 to 7 seconds and slow breathing-out for 5 to 7 seconds with 2 to 3 seconds pause, for few minutes by yourself with closed eyes.

Welcome to a very interesting and astonishing subject… the mind.
Anything and everything that happens with the human life is fundamentally based on functioning of the mind.
The mind has something to do with physical acts, sex, imagination, memory, thinking, logic, desire, decision making, emotions and experiences.
Now, to understand the functioning of the mind, first we need to think over, contemplate and answer few fundamental questions concerned with the mind.
They are…
1.. What is mind?
2.. Are the brain and the mind, one and the same? or are they different things?
3.. Does brain create mind or mind has its own separate existence?
4.. Does brain control mind or mind control brain?
5.. Where is the mind located in the body? In the brain or outside the brain?
6.. Is the mind confined to the body or extends even beyond the body?
7.. What controls mind? What is the higher control over the mind?
Inner science says, the brain and the mind are not one and the same, they are totally different things. Mind has its own separate existence and it controls the brain.
Brain is hardware and mind is software. Mind gives order to brain and brain just follows and executes it.
You will be surprised to know, mind is not located in the brain-head rather it is located somewhere else in the body and it even extends beyond the body!
Inner science says, functioning of the mind is controlled by different life energy cycles and life energy levels
It would be very astonishing to know that, there are two types of minds, conventional ordinary mind and subtle mind.
Inner science says, conventional ordinary mind is utilitarian and confined to the body and is controlled by life energy level I to IV and right and left brain route life energy cycles. It is involved in physical and mental acts, sex and ordinary experiences.
Inner science says, subtle mind is non-utilitarian and extends even beyond the body. It is linked with central route life energy cycles and life energy level V to VII and higher. It is involved in awareness and spiritual experiences like peace, joy, silence, ecstasy, absolute ease, neutrality, choicelessness, nothingness, non-duality, and ultimate reality-ultimate truth.
To understand the functioning of the mind, first we need to understand the very structure of the mind, then only it could ever be possible to manage it perfectly well.
Here, we are more concerned with utilitarian, conventional ordinary mind. So, we will be focusing only on conventional ordinary mind.
Let us move forward and explore the mystery of the ordinary mind.
Brain is hardware, mind is software. Functioning of the brain is controlled by the mind. Brain just follows commands from the mind and executes specified physical and mental acts and experiences.
You will be surprised to know, there are four divisions of the mind, each located in different parts of the body, outside the brain.
First division of the mind is in pelvic cavity; second one in lower abdomen in suprapubic region; third one in upper abdomen above umbilical level; and fourth one in the mid chest; all together comprising the whole mind.
First division of the mind has two sections, right one located in the right side of the pelvic cavity is denoted as Section 1; and left one located in the left side of the pelvic cavity is denoted as Section 2.
Section 1 and 2 are interconnected structurally and functionally.
Second division of the mind also has two sections, right one located in the right side of the suprapubic region is denoted as Section 3; and left one, located in the left side of the suprapubic region is denoted as Section 4.
Section 3 and 4 are interconnected structurally and functionally.
Third division of the mind has only one section located in the right side above umbilical level in upper abdomen and is denoted as Section 5.
Fourth division of the mind also has only one section located in the left side of mid chest and is denoted as Section 6.
You will be surprised to know, though located in the different region of the body, section 5 and 6 are interconnected structurally and functionally!
You will be even more surprised to know, though located in the different region of the body, Section 2, 4 and 6 of the minds are interconnected structurally and functionally; and Section 1, 3 and 5 of the minds are interconnected structurally and functionally.
Section 1,3 and 5 of the minds are linked with negativity and Section 2,4 and 6 of the minds are linked with positivity.
All six sections of the mind altogether comprise the whole mind.

Now, let us move forward to explore energy-software structure of each section of the mind.
Single breathing-in (inhalation-inspiration) and breathing-out (exhalation-expiration) comprises one breathing cycle.
With breathing-in, either chest or abdomen or both expand. There are many breathing patterns based on the extent of expansion of abdomen and/or chest with breathing-in.
Specific breathing pattern is linked with specific life energy cycle and life energy level. With the change in life energy cycle and life energy level, breathing pattern also changes accordingly.
There are innumerable breathing patterns depending on expansion of chest and/or abdomen with augmented breathing-in, but here, we will look at four fundamental breathing patterns linked with different life energy cycles and life energy levels.

With pure thoracic breathing pattern, while breathing-in, only chest expands and abdomen remains unmoved.
