Are you an HR manager who feels frustrated, tired or stressed out? Do you often feel stuck between C-suite decisions and the organisation's needs? Has your budget been cut yet you're still asked to deliver the same results? If any of these resonate with you then this course is designed to help!
With the recent pandemic, global wars and climate change, the world has become an uncertain place. As an HR professional, you may have found yourself ‘firefighting’ during COVID-19 and then adjusting to hybrid work and budget cuts, which may have taken a toll on your wellbeing and that of your HR team. In addition, the incredible pace of human civilisation has far outrun nature’s ability to update the design of our brains to help us cope with it. We are bombarded by information and mentally drained by constant demands on our energy and time. If we want to be healthy, we must take time to honour one of the body’s most fragile organs - the brain, the heart and the gut. To do this, we need to integrate wellbeing into our workday.
Based on the latest research with Softer Success and King's College London, it has become evident that when leaders, CEOs and HR teams set wellbeing as a business goal it can help prevent burnout, enhance wellbeing and improve cognition. Wellbeing can be thought of as 'being well' but what does that really mean? And how do you integrate wellbeing as a business goal in your HR role, so that you can be healthy and sustainably productive, and help others around you be the same?
The course is designed to help you manage stress, overwhelm and worry with a three-step strategy to prevent burnout, focusing on holistic health. Over a series of video-based lectures, you will learn how to integrate wellbeing into your daily work and your team's work. We will equip you with practical tools to help you implement short-, medium- and long-term wellbeing goals and you will become more aware of the risks that contribute to burnout with a scientifically backed 90-second wellbeing assessment. Once you know how to define new metrics of success, you can make mental connections between the success of the business and your wellbeing as its most precious resource. Each individual is different and the triggers for the compulsive behaviour that may lead to burnout can be highly individual. Here, you will learn how to 'burnout-proof' your job, no matter how many stakeholders are in your life, and understand how to do this with your teams.
This course will equip you with easy-to-use tools for managing stress, finding more balance and improving your mental focus. You will learn several strategies to increase your confidence and inner strength when dealing with multiple stakeholders. Here, we will ensure that wellbeing is embedded in your work and systems!
