    TRANSCRIPT

Only........This course contains the use of artificial intelligence on the audio portion.

Welcome to the SEO Easy Pocket Guide. In this first module, we'll explore the foundations
of search engine optimization and the art of keyword research. Unlike paid advertising,
organic search focuses on earning your spot at the top of the search results through relevance
and authority. Search engines work in three primary stages, crawling to find content,
indexing to store it, and ranking to provide the best answers to users.

Crawlers are automated bots that follow links across the web to discover new and updated pages
for the search engine's database. Once crawled, the page is indexed. Think of this as a massive
library where the search engine stores every page it finds for later retrieval. Ranking is where the
magic happens. Complex algorithms evaluate hundreds of factors to decide which pages best
satisfy a user's query. Now, let's dive into the cornerstone of SEO, keyword research.

This is how you discover what your audience is actually searching for. Understanding search intent is
critical. Are they looking to learn, find a specific site, or buy a product right now? Short-tail
keywords are broad, while long-tail keywords are specific. Targeting long-tail phrases often leads
to higher conversion rates. Tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, and SEMrush help you
find data on search volume and keyword difficulty.

Don't forget to analyze your competitors. See what they rank for and identify gaps where you can outperform them. Your goal is to find high-value keywords with a perfect balance of search volume and manageable competition. We've covered the basics. Understanding how search engines work and identifying the right keywords sets the stage for everything else. That's it for module one. You now have a solid understanding of SEO foundations and how to find the right keywords. In the next module, we'll take those keywords and learn how to optimize your actual website content for search engines. Before moving on, try identifying five long-tail
keywords for your own business or a project you're working on. To recap, SEO is about organic growth.
Search engines crawl and index your site. And keyword research is your roadmap.

Data-driven decisions are the key to SEO success. Always back your keyword choices with real search data and metrics. Authority is built through links. When other reputable sites link to you, search engines see you as a trustworthy source. One last recap. Master the basics, understand search engine mechanics, and choose your keywords with intent. End of Module 1. See you in the next video for on-page SEO optimization.

  • Website Fundamentals Crawling, Indexing, and Algorithms7:13

    TRANSCRIPT

Google Fundamentals, Crawling, Indexing, and Algorithms.

    Let's begin with crawling.

So, you've just created your website. And you've followed all of Google's policies, all of Google's fundamental rules, and embedded your keywords, and you're ready to submit your website. This is one of Google's fundamental rules. You have to give the search engine your website through the submittal process, which means simply just to submit your URL to the search engine. After submitting your website to the search engine. The first technical requirement requires Googlebot to fetch your website and reply to a successful ping. This means when the keyword search or phrase is required, it starts with Googlebot indexing, then fetching the data to ping back to your website after a successful ping. The key to all of this is to learn how to make your contents more visible to Google search by following the basic checklists for appearing in the Google search result. The first thing to understand is Google has its crawlers looking for content constantly. And if the content is not visible or up to date, this makes it difficult to rank top on the search engine with your keywords. This is why it's important to understand what the processes or what Google fundamentals are.

The crawlers are constantly looking for updated information and constantly looking for information to match you with your keyword. Let's take social media, for example. Google fundamental rules apply to them as well social media contents play a critical part in the content relevancy and how data is updated in a search engine to keep your website ranked this brings us to the next process which is the indexing. Indexing is optimizing your website with relevant information pertaining to your keyword, the name of your business and information that is specific to what your keywords are. Indexing is like the library. When you go into a library and you're looking for a book you're in a huge gigantic library and you need to be able to gather information about you know your book where would you gather it from well one you'll go to the librarian who will then point you to the indexing box or cabinet where you can search through that box or that cabinet and find your book based on the alphabetical order that it's in. Once you pull your card, then you can know what shelf, what row, what section, what floor your book is on. At which point, you can also use their database online to search for the books that you're looking for to be able to locate exactly where the books are in a library. The index process is the same exact way it uses a particular method on how we store information based on your keyword. The crawlers play a critical role in gathering this information and the Google bots play a critical role in gathering the information to then store that information during the indexing process. The next section that we're going to talk about is Algorithm.

Here is how you would submit your website to Google:

This is how to submit your website to Google. Create a profile with our  Google Searh Console, with the email address you want to use for your website. Go to https://search.google.com/search-console/about to verify ownership, and then submit a sitemap or individual URLs to begin by using the URL Inspection tool to request indexing in our Google Console. After submitting your website Google will send it's crawlers to crawl your website to boost visibility faster.

    What is Algorithm?

Algorithm is a mathematical way to quantitatively calculate the result of the data and how it is measured based on the quality. This is precisely the ideal behind the search engine. The search engine uses an Algorithm-based method to crawl your website on a ranking system, just like the library system. That categorizes the data by sorting the data for the fastest result when it is queried. The sorting method used looking through the google's huge database of index website that is sorted by the google robot crawlers the algorithm crawlers looks for the most relevant and useful information to return to the users when they issue a query on the search engine. The algorithm uses disinformation when a search query is made by the user.

The algorithm matches the keyword being queried by the user's keyword search to match with your website along with relevant data categorized by the algorithm. This process creates a way for you to locate what you're looking for fast. Because the crawlers have already crawled the information, indexed it, and the algorithm uses the Googlebot to then reply back whenever there is a request or a query being made. At which point, based on how relevant your information is and how updated your information is, and based on the keyword search, you will be ranked based on a calling, the summoning of that person looking for information in regards to what they are looking for in alignment to your keyword. Those are the fundamental practices that Google has.

• Practical SEO Implementation Steps3:15

    TRANSCRIPT

In this section, we're going to go over practical SEO implementation steps. And the first thing we're going to look at is Metadata. Metadata optimizes titles and description effectively. Within the programming of your website, there are codes that are embedded into your site. These codes are called metadata. You can see these codes in your title page, your metadata page, and your meta keyword.

In this section, Google bots, the robots and the crawlers inform Google what your site is about. This includes information about your title tags, your meta tags, your title page, your description, your structured data by telling Google what the website is about, as well as, your heading of your website is in this area. This is all structured data that is imperative to the growth and development of your site.

The next subject that we're going to talk about is structured data. Structured data is implementation schemas, markups for better visibility. The next one is sitemap. You submit your sitemap to improve your index efficiency. With the sitemap, when you submit them to each of the search engines, that starts the process of Google attempting to ping your site to determine whether or not this is a relevant site.  Did they get a reply ping?

Can they read your sitemap with your metadata to tell what your site information is about? That is what sitemap is about. The sitemap structure that we use to map out our site is a file, typically in XML format, that lists a website's important pages, images, and videos to help search engines like Google crawl and index.

SEO tools that we can utilize to analyze data and use this as an analysis to comprehensively rank your page to see if it's doing well or not. The Google Analytics tools are the keyword tools, you can use in the Google console page of how well you're doing, or if there's any errors that occur or your website is not in compliance to what Google standards are. The action plan towards the end of all of this is to create a clear roadmap for your success.

  • Topical Authority8:27

    TRANSCRIPT

The next subject is Building Topical Authority in SEO.

    What is Topical Authority?

Topical authority is based from the end users' search intent.  The algorithm returns a result relating to the users' query which, relates to the website's keyword and relevancy to align with what the user search intent are.

The algorithm is the mathematical part of the search engine program and its intent is to quantitatively gather data to return to the user's search intent. All topical authority is, it is an alignment to what the search intent is of the user.

Let's start by looking at topical authority's critical role in this.

Topical authority, keyword positioning involve doing research on the keyword phrase and the user's intent, which is structured already in the result as they discover what they're looking for in their brand, product or service that the user is  searching for.  If they're just looking for information. Then the  intent is to return a result that matches what the intent of the users are relating to for the services the user is looking for. This baseline is to complete the research which will give you the guideline align to answer the questions people are asking in advance to a  particular search criteria. This is very important when it relates to Topical Authority. As the intent of the business owner or the developer is to plan the intent of the user prior to the search. We must have clear and concise directions to fulfill the need of what our target audience are looking for when they begin to search using their keyword search. Topical authority gives users the content in a written guideline to what they're looking for in their intent of the search.

There are four intent. The four intent relates to whether it is informational, commercial, transactional, or navigational. The informational Intent is when the user is doing their research.  For example, you are interested in a company that sells diamond necklaces, that you want to purchase for your daughter and a platinum watch you want to purchase for your son. Before you begin the purchase you may want to research information about reviews on the company before you decide to make the purchases. You want to see what the reviews are saying about the quality of the items and the services they offer.  What informational are you gathering prior to moving forward with the purchase?

The next intent is, Commercial Intent. The commercial intent relates to sponsored ads.  This is when the customer is only interested in making a purchase. They may have already done their research and have already positioned themselves to purchase the product and service they are looking for.  With a Commercial Intent the users are looking to just click on the item and go. They just may want to purchase because they've already done their research. Now, the intent is the buy.  The positioning of these particular ads are in place for the customers to just to go ahead and move forward with the purchase. Commercial Intent is more straight forward than the other intents.

The next intent is the Transactional Intent.  At which point, that is when the user have accomplished the result of doing the research from the informational portion of the topical authority to the commercial portion. And now they want to make the transaction. It doesn't necessarily have to be a purchase. Their intent could be signing up to a website.

It could be just that they're trying to find out information about that particular product or they may just want to sign up to, a blog, a knowledge base, or a free trial. The transactional Intent of the user result are the end results.

The Navigational Intent relates to the tools the user is using to do their research on the website they're on. This tool can be AI, or just using the keyword tool to gather information for the keyword or keyword phrase they want to use. It doesn't even have to be a keyword search, the user could use a tool like Google, Audible, or Amazon to find the product or service they want. The intent is for the user's best interest to the Navigational intent which is to the ensure the website working.
