Selling on Amazon is way better than selling on Ebay. Selling on Ebay has high competition, especially since the manufacturer tends to compete with you. Selling on Ebay is really easy to setup too. Selling on Amazon is more difficult to start up, but once you get past the hurdle, there's not that much competition compared to the amount of products on Amazon. There are an average of 100 products sold per amazon seller. That's incredible! Also, Amazon will do all of the packaging for you, whereas selling on Ebay requires you to constantly do all of the hard work of packaging. See why selling on Amazon is such a great way to make money online!
This video has 25 Excel spreadsheets attached with the top 200 products to sell on Amazon in every single category!

A majority of Amazon sellers have a fear of being banned on amazon. This is a costly mistake if you have products sitting in Amazon's warehouse. In this video, I will cover everything you need to know regarding selling in multiple categories, and the number one way Amazon sellers get banned.
MerchantWords is a resource that will allow you to compare similar keywords. If you find keywords that are not related to what you sell, this is an indication that your niche is too general, and that you need to be more specific. If you find products that are easily scalable to, then you found yourself a niche that is not too big or too small.
If you are an Amazon FBA seller (or merchant seller), the FBA Revenue calculator is the best tool in spot checking competitors and further confirming what your final profit margin will be. I will you through how to use the tool and take you through a live case study of the selfie stick.

This video doesn't necessarily go in depth into every aspect of private labeling, however we give you a whole rundown of the process and talk about what is involved in every step. We'll also discuss the challenges, the mistakes that can happen, and how to avoid them.
If you're interested in creating your own brand so that your not competing on Amazon listings with dozens of others and can own your own listing then private labeling is for you.
You'll learn how to search for products and connect with suppliers. But before you start using Alibaba, you should understand the following rules
(1) Form long term relationships with suppliers
(2) Numbers on Alibaba don't mean anything
(3) Never place a large order before seeing samples
(4) Always negotiate!
(5) Don't waste time with suppliers, go straight to the manufacturer
(6) Keep records of everything
== How to start =====
(1) To start with Alibaba, go to Alibaba.com and create an account.
(2) Search for a product
(3) Review the product specs. The FOB is the price/unit of the product. MOQ is the minimum order quantity which is the minimum number of pcs you must order from the suppliers
(4) But remember don't mean anything, so take these figures with a grain of salt
(5) Initiate a chat session with supplier or send them a message
(6) Negotiate directly with the supplier. Order small quantities before placing a large order!
You will have to pay at the very least the shipping on free samples.
You'll also want to seem more experienced and larger than you actually are. If you have an LLC mention your name and say your contacting them on behalf of XYZ Company. If you have a website you plan to sell the product on mention the website.
Speak as if you know what your talking about. If you want custom packaging ask for "OEM" not "can you make a package with my name".
Lastsly, if you want to start with a small first order, rather than asking if they'll do only a 20 piece order, ask for a 20 piece sample. They will typically fulfill that order even if it's below their MOQ and you can get a small first order and take it from there.

WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS WHEN OBTAINING A UPC FOR YOUR PRODUCT?
If you are just getting started with selling on Amazon, a lot of the recent talk about UPCs can get really confusing. What you need to know is that UPCs are essential to selling your product on Amazon and with other retailers. You might be wondering, “Where do I get a UPC for my product?” You can get a UPC from GS1 or other Third party providers such as Snap. The big difference between these two options is that GS1 gives you ownership of your UPC. They create the unique UPC and hand it to you for a cost. Most third party providers like Snap obtain the first few digits of the UPC from GS1 and then generate the rest. You can verify via GS1 the UPCs that you obtain from Third parties to make sure you are compliant with Amazon’s standards.
In this video, I will discuss how to make sure your product is inspected without spending hundreds of dollars!
Now that you’ve researched your product and found a supplier, we need to talk about getting your product from your supplier to Amazon. Let’s get started!
Before you wire the money to the supplier from Alibaba always be sure the company name you’re wiring the money to matches the name of the company you’ve been negotiating with. If it doesn’t, be sure to contact Alibaba about the discrepancy and use Trade Assurance for extra protection.
Now that you’ve chosen a product and researched it, you’ve contacted suppliers and narrowed them down to one; here is what you need to do:
Check if your product is going to be in a box or a poly bag. If it’s in a box you’re OK. If it’s a polybag, make sure it meets Amazon’s standards. If the bag is over 5 inches wide make sure you put a suffocation label.
Suffocation Label:
If you’re importing from China, make sure the product has been labeled as MADE IN CHINA.
Make sure your product has a UPC if you’re going to be selling your products outside of Amazon. You don’t need a UPC printed on the product if you’ll only be selling on Amazon, although you will need the UPC number to get it listed. Amazon requires the FNSKU to be visible on the products. Amazon will provide you with a PDF file with these numbers; it’s recommended you have your designer incorporate those bar codes in the product’s packaging so you can save the costs of having Amazon apply the stickers for you.
You will need to create a listing for your product on Amazon before you order the packaging from the supplier. Amazon will then provide you with the FNSKU and ASIN. You will need to give these to your supplier for the to apply on the packaging.
It will typically take 15-20 days for the manufacturer to produce your products (longer on more custom orders), and it will take about 5 days to ship the products to you if you use express shipping.
If you plan on registering your brand with Amazon, it is important you take the time to register your website domain and create a website for your brand.
At this time you should also be optimizing your listing and making sure you have good titles, descriptions, bullet points, etc.
An important decision you’ll have to make is how many products to order. Keep in mind that you’ll need at least an extra 50 to 200 units to give away or to sell at a deep discount in order to get a good number of reviews fast.
Once you’re ready to ship your products to the U.S (or wherever your closest Amazon warehouse is), you can ship your products with express shipping, by air or by boat. Express shipping is the fastest, but most expensive. Shipping by boat is the most inexpensive, but it takes the longest. If you’re shipping by anything except express shipping, you might want to use a freight forwarding company to facilitate the process. We’ll cover freight forwarders in a future episode.

Do you wonder how to stay ahead of the competition in an increasingly competitive marketplace? How can you rank for your main keywords, improve your click through rates and conversion rates to grow your profits?
The answer is found in continually tweaking and optimizing your Amazon listing.
The Google Keyword tool has been around for ten years now. It has been used by millions of people. It was an "external" tool, and many people could use it without logging into any accounts. The Planner is different. It belongs to the AdWords family, and is an internal tool. That means that only people logged into their accounts can use the tool. It is still free to create an account, and you don't have to have any PPC campaigns in your account to use the Planner, but realize that you can only use it if you are logged in. That will be an inconvenience to many people.
How is it Different?
The Planner feels different from the Keyword Tool because the interface is quite different. The boxes to select broad, phrase, or exact is gone. The filters let you choose the location of your search, down to the city if you want. This feature is going to help a lot of local businesses. But, it makes the utility different than what users were used to. The filter lets you select results by excluding words that have more than a specific amount of search traffic per month, or less than a certain amount of search traffic per month. It even lets you search using the cost per click of search terms.
