CREATING A MIND SET
I have been teaching martial arts for many years. I am a master in many kinds of combat sports. All combat sports improve your combat skills and help you defend yourself. However, the self-defense situation might be different from the combat sports competition. The most important difference is There are no rules in a self-defense situation.
Other differences are no gender categories, no weight categories, no referee, no medical care…
Worse case, self-defense situations can become a matter of life and death.
In this case, Fighting techniques to be used in self-defense situations must be proportional to the threat. For this reason, in this course, I will teach you the techniques that are forbidden to be used in combat sports.
However, Make sure to check out the other combat sports courses I have prepared for Udemy. Those courses will increase your fighting skills, coordination, and body awareness. You can consider this self-defense course as a complement and next level to the others.
Usually the first priority of my students who come to me for training is learning self-defense techniques. People want to be capable of defending themselves and their loved ones. Based on this point, I created the self-defense program. The purpose of this program is primarily to increase awareness about self-defense. This is the first step. After that, to teach the techniques and tactics that can completely neutralize the attacker in a possible self-defense situation.
What is the difference in this self defense system?
Many self-defense training programs go through role-play scenarios.
This is good for practicing and building up self-confidence.
Of course, we will practice on some specific possible scenarios.
On the other hand, there are countless scenarios in self-defense situations. It is not possible to create endless scenarios for each possibility. Since there are countless variables during the struggle, it is not possible to stick to the scenario.
Instead of creating scenarios for each possibility, I will teach you techniques that will work for each possibility.
So what will we do with this defense program?
Creating a mindset.
Avoid avoidable threats
Learning attack and defense techniques and increasing your fighting skills.
How to attack sensitive points and dominate yourself.
How to take control of fighting and completely neutralize the opponent.
In order to better understand the issue and create a consciousness, it is necessary to first understand what we are facing. We already know the self-defense situation is not a fighting sports competition. As I mentioned above, there are no rules in self-defense situations. In order to deal with this situation, we must keep ourselves mentally and physically prepared. To stay in shape, we must practice regularly.
You should be able to control your emotional state in self-defense situations. When you face such a situation, you may feel fear, anxiety, etc. These emotional states trigger the release of different hormones in your body. This gives you the strength to fight for a while. Being able to control your emotional state will help you a lot in making the right decision. Training in self-defense and creating awareness will help you control your mood.
2- I want to mention about avoidable threats with
example, Imagine that you have to walk at a late hour in a not very well-known neighborhood. In this case, you should increase your environmental (invayrınmentıl) awareness. If you have a hoodie blocking your view, open your head. If you are listening to music, it will block your hearing. take off your AirPods.. observe your environment. If anyone is posing a possible Threat, change your ways. You can prevent a lot of things with small precautions.
You may need to make very quick strategic decisions in self-defense situations.
Usually, the first reaction is described as fight or flight. Actually, there is a third reaction which is the worst. If you haven't done well training and are not mentally prepared for this issue, you may freeze in a possible negative situation.
Will you run away in any self-defense situation? Will you fight? How strong will your response be? many such decisions will have to be made quickly. If a fight is inevitable despite all your precautions, do not hesitate.
Hesitation will make you lose.
The fight must be ended as soon as fast in any self-defense situation.
The longer the fight, the higher the risk factor.
neutralize by targeting the attacker's most vulnerable points. Get away from there immediately and notify the authorities. If you need medical assistance, go to a hospital.
Before you practice don't skip warming up.
Master distance control in self-defense by targeting head, torso, and lower body, distracting with multi-zone strikes, and moving through four distance circles from red to safe using tiger steps.
Learn practical self-defense by blocking uppercut punches at close range using your forearm and elbows, turning slightly to defend without opening up and achieving rapid protection.
Demonstrates circular punch defense, blocks with the forearm, then counters with knee strikes and an elbow behind the neck to neutralize a threat, targeting the throat or groin as needed.
My program's focus on creating awareness and developing a mindset is a crucial first step. It's essential to understand that self-defense is not just about knowing physical techniques, but it's also about being aware of your surroundings and recognizing potential threats. Being aware of your emotional state and having the ability to control it can help you make the right decisions in a self-defense situation.
There are countless scenarios in self-defense situations, and it's not possible to prepare for every possibility. However, learning techniques that work in any situation can be more effective than relying on pre-planned scenarios.
This training system features accessible fighting techniques suitable for anyone, even with minimal practice. Our focus is on achieving results quickly and efficiently. Say goodbye to impractical and complex techniques - we prioritize practicality and real-world applicability.
Another important point is the need to finish the fight as soon as possible. In a self-defense situation, the longer the struggle, the greater the risk. Therefore, it's essential to have techniques that can neutralize the attacker quickly and effectively.
It's also important to note that self-defense is not just about fighting back physically. Sometimes, the best course of action may be to avoid the situation altogether, if possible. Your program's focus on developing a mindset and making quick strategic decisions can help students make the right choice in such situations.
This self-defense program teaches self-defense techniques to develop the right mindset. By raising awareness and teaching techniques that work in any situation, I am equipping my students with the tools they need to defend themselves effectively.
One important aspect of self-defense that should not be overlooked is the importance of physical fitness. Being physically fit can give you an advantage in a self-defense situation by enabling you to move more quickly and effectively. Physical fitness can also improve your mental state and help you stay calm and focused during an attack. Therefore, your self-defense program's focus on techniques that require no skill is beneficial for all, including those who may not be physically fit.
In addition, developing situational awareness is an essential part of self-defense. Being aware of your surroundings can help you identify potential threats and take appropriate action to avoid or neutralize them. Situational awareness involves paying attention to your surroundings, recognizing potential threats, and knowing what actions to take in response.
Another important factor in self-defense is confidence. A confident person is less likely to be a victim of an attack than someone who lacks confidence. This self-defense program can help boost the confidence of my students by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to defend themselves.
This self-defense program focuses on finishing the fight as soon as possible. In a self-defense situation, the attacker's goal is usually to harm or overpower their victim, and the longer the struggle, the greater the risk. Therefore, it's essential to have techniques that can neutralize the attacker quickly and effectively.
Finally, it's important to note that self-defense training is not a one-time event. It's important to continue practicing and updating your skills regularly to ensure that you're prepared for any situation that may arise.
I always try to encourage my students to practice more. There are many combat training programs that I have prepared on Udemy, You can practice these training without getting bored with those that interest you. Practicing keeps you fit and boosts your self-confidence.
In conclusion, This self-defense program is a comprehensive approach to teaching self-defense techniques, developing situational awareness, building confidence, and providing a well-rounded approach to self-defense. By focusing on practical techniques that work in any situation, I am equipping my students with the tools they need to defend themselves effectively.
