Self Publishing is not as difficult as people think it is. It only takes 5 steps to be a successful published author.

    Step 1: Manuscript (Writing/Outsourcing/Recording).

    • You first want to complete your manuscript either by writing it yourself, outsourcing it or recording an audio.

    • Writing will be more suitable and appropriate for you if you've got time to write, if you are good with literature or writing or if you are limited on budget.

    • You'd rather outsource your book to a ghost-writer if you've got a bit of money, you do not have time or you are not good with literature. Ghost-writers will probably do a better job than you ever would anyway since it is their work.

    • Alternatively you can record your audio and find someone to transcribe it for you.

    Step 2: Editing.

    • When you have completed step 2 you have to send your manuscript to an editor to ensure that it is grammatically correct.

    Step 3: Typesetting.

    • The typesetter is responsible for the page layout, section breaks, fonts etc. They make sure that your book looks good for the reader to read.

    Step 4: Proofreading.

    • This is to make sure that the editor did their work well and left no errors unattended.

    Step 5: Printing.

    • If you are publishing a hardcover then your book will be read for printing.
