This is a brief introduction about what the course is all about. I will say a few words about myself, and introduce the content, structure and objectives of the course.
In this module, we will look at C. G. Jung's model of the psyche. We will first have a look at Freud's model, which largely inspired the work of C. G. Jung. Thus, at the end of this section, you should be able to understand the main concepts from these psychodynamic models and begin to recognize their role in your own life.
In this module, we will have a closer look at Jung's concept of Archetypes. We will look at a few examples of male and female archetypes and their characteristics. We will also come to understand how archetypes can play out in our lives, and what lessons they can teach us.
In this lecture, we will look at Jung's understanding of Anima and Animus. We will review how they fit into Queer theory, and be able to reflect on how they play out within our own psyche and life. We will get an understanding of what the process of individuation is all about.
In this module, we will explore the concepts of the Shadow and Shadow work. This will lay the basic foundation for being able to begin doing Shadow work ourselves.
In this lecture we will get an understanding of active imagination as a technique for doing Shadow work.
