Description
This course will help students understand who they are within the context of their retail management role, and it will help them become more effective at building a successful career. The course starts off with a general introduction to the concept of brand and self-brand. Section 2 discusses the four key components of a good self-brand. Section 3 is a working exercise that leads students through the process of defining their self-brand. Section 4 describes four important concepts that will help students build their self-brand. Section 5 teaches students how to effectively promote and market their self-brand. Finally the course wraps up with a lesson on how students can evolve their self-brand over time. All six sections of the course reinforce a theme that effective self-branding depends on high levels of self-awareness and authenticity.
