  • Water Part I - Restorative Yin with Angelo30:36

    This episode is very gentle and meditative, reflecting the more Yin/Feminine/Water/Soft qualities of Yin and Yang Yoga. Yet this does not mean it is easy, as postures are held for long, creating the necessary conditions for heat and tension to arise whilst beckoning the release of control by the mind over the body and the release of mind chatter, towards focusing on an object.

    There are lots of information and instruction on developing awareness, listening to the body, learning the secret awareness of the practice, becoming friends with Tension and learning to develop an intuitive approach that leads to discovering one’s own power, learning to listen to one’s own inner teacher.

    The minimalism of this session reflects the emptiness and silence of the Taoist philosophy. The session is a constant reminder of the wisdom of dissolution of desire, “unlearn you must do”, the dissolution of mind movement, the surrrendering to the Great Flow, surrendering to your purity, surrendering to your essence, which is naturally pure and purifying.

  • Fire Part I - Full Body Flow with Acacia29:05

    In this episode we will briefly visit each of the 7 chakras in a balanced flow. When each chakra is in balance we shine and are connected to the divinity to the earth and the divinity of the heavens. Go deeply inward through a dynamic sequence. To explore each chakra in depth see episodes 1-7.

    Moon salutations are a perfect way to move your body smoothly and gracefully without getting too hot.

    The head and neck can easily relax in the mostly downward looking poses, and the mix of balance and stretch gives a nice overall openness and comfort without the excess heat. Adding the mantras adds a reverence and mindfulness which reminds one to appreciate the given glories in the creation. The moon is a special cooling force, so beautiful and profound in its silvery reflection of the sun. A nice sequence of hip-openers follows the moon. This makes for a complete practice. Notice the effects and see how you move through your day after this practice.

Description

Elements of Yoga is a ten episode journey into yoga asana, breathwork, and meditation. Each episode is designed according to the five elements - air, earth, fire, water and spirit - which reflect the style, focus and intensity of each episode.

Each episode is 30-minutes, which is great for busy people who are on the go. You can choose your episode depending on time of day, mood or desired outcome. 

Taking this course will give you a solid foundation for your practice, no matter what your level. From there, you can deepen your practice to experience even more benefits. 

This series was filmed in Bali with ten world-class teachers whom you'll really enjoy getting to know and will help you connect to your Mind, Body and Self!
