Build a strong iron frame and layer with nylon, foil, and wire to support water clay, reducing costs while enabling large models and staged sculpting.
Apply bold lines in clean clay, using your fingers as the primary tool to sculpt, fill gaps, adjust angles, and explore different views for an artistic, not ultra realistic, model.
Practice water clay sculpting to refine topography and facial lines, enhance symmetry, fix small holes, and unify lines with the overall face and backside design through hands-on, iterative modeling.
Finish a sculpture by experimenting with brush backside and hole techniques to create varied effects, test new textures, and repurpose a wooden wardrobe spot as a creative element.
Note: I have to remove few video parts, so I can offer it for FREE. to match Udemy requirements.
Welcome to the clay sculpting course, Corona Occupation
I will sculpt my model from the beginning to the finish, this process took around 16 hours. and I will shorten the time by the third by increasing the viewing speed in a proper way for around 2:30 hours.
since I don't have any reference to the previous sketch or design. you will see how I am designing my character concept from scratch... by trial and error, modification and continuous enhancements.
Noting my previous experience in sculpture and my good knowledge of human anatomy.
in my humble opinion, sculpting is not related to magic...or spatial secret techniques or tools... It's related to building a high sense in masss, surfaces, proportions, anatomy. and logical proportions
the most important goals for me is to push you to break the fear of doing things wrong,
this is just a clay... no damage or destruction will happen to anything
just spend some time manipulating so you will understand it.
Also you won't be able to judge if you can sculpt or not until you try.
Who knows? maybe you are hiding an impressive sculptre inside you.
You need to practice, be patient, persistent, and constantly learn
