This temporarily solution , don't use more costumes for one sprite, use ones from resources , later on , in level 2 , we shall see better solution for counter .
Sorry , I forgot to turn sound on , but never mind, this is only demonstration how second level could look like ,
so , in order to hit target , our Rocketship should not move , so we shall do something about that , but in one way
we should a little help it , it could move faster in second level.
What do you think about all of this , do you have some ideas?
In this lesson we made two new Sprites for Score System in order to reduce number of Costumes for one sprite ,
in the next one we shall see how we can control number of clones
There was a little mistake , trap sprite should appear randomly at x position form -180 to 180
In this video lesson we did interaction between Rocketship and Trap, but Sprite Bullet should also received messages from Trap Sprite , because Rocketship cannot shoot when it is trapped , and we also forget to delete Bullet clone when touches Paddle Objects
Learn programming fundamentals by creating a complete Space Battle game in Scratch. This course is designed for kids, beginners, and anyone who wants to understand the basics of programming through hands-on game development.
Instead of learning programming concepts only through theory, you will build a real game step by step while learning important programming ideas such as variables, loops, conditions, events, messages, cloning, object interaction, and game logic.
During this course, you will learn how to use Scratch to create a complete game project from the beginning. We will start with the basics of Scratch programming and gradually build more advanced game features.
You will learn how to:
Create and control sprites
Use events and programming blocks
Work with variables and game data
Understand loops, conditions, and logical operators
Create custom blocks and organize your code
Use broadcast messages and communication between objects
Create clones for bullets and enemies
Build a Space Battle game with levels
Create score systems and improve game mechanics
Add timers and countdown systems
Detect collisions and interactions between objects
Create enemy sprites and game challenges
Add explosions, sounds, and visual effects
Create health systems and game-over logic
Design custom costumes and improve your game graphics
Throughout the course, you will not only learn how to use Scratch, but also develop computational thinking and problem-solving skills that are useful for learning other programming languages later.
This course is perfect for beginners, kids, students, parents, and anyone who wants to start programming in a fun and creative way by building real games.
No previous programming experience is required. You only need curiosity, creativity, and the desire to create your own games.
