Description
Help your child learn essential knowledge and skills for coding action games, then use what they have learnt to create their own games.
This course is designed for parents of 8-12 year olds who want to re-direct their child's natural enthusiasm for playing games, into creating and coding games.
Students will learn essential coding processes and techniques for creating a complete action game including player controlled characters, attacking enemies, throwing and firing, reaction animations, health rewards and hp.
Our instructor is a qualified and experienced teacher who speaks clearly and precisely, leading the learner through the entire coding process. Each step is explained and demonstrated.
Your child will build confidence with Scratch, acquire action game coding skills, and improve their creative, math and computational thinking abilities.

Matt is a digital media educator, designer, and music technologist. He runs his own business The Pixel Gang, teaching games coding and digital media creation to children.
He has written qualifications and developed programmes for universities, adult education, and apprenticeships in the fields of digital media and marketing, music technology and computing, and contributes content to online learning platforms.
His passion is teaching young learners the coding and computing skills and knowledge they will need for their secondary education, university degrees and future careers.
