Instructor
Jared has been an opener for top comedians such as Kyle Cease (#1 Comedy Central Special of 2009) on his Wake Up College Tour and Louie Anderson (Ranked #83 on Comedy Central's "Greatest Comedians of All-Time" List). He was also a Finalist in the Great American Comedy Festival and has performed in A-list comedy clubs, theaters, amphitheaters, and universities. As a comedian, he’s known for his unique blend of audience interaction, improvisation, and comedic storytelling.
Jared's career got off to a rough start. After struggling for 2 years to excel at joke writing, he threw out all his material and started from scratch. Jared began purposely ignoring "best practice" and ruthlessly analyzing top comedians, spotting where current comedy teaching broke down. The new style paid off quickly. Within a few months, he went from dive bars and open mics to getting paid to headline showcases (modest 20-minute sets). A year later he began doing full-length headlining (45+ minutes).
In 2008, Jared began teaching live comedy classes in Denver, CO. In 2011, Jared published Faster & Funnier, one of the highest-rated courses on stand-up comedy. In 2019, Jared published Playfully Inappropriate, one of Comedypreneur’s “Best Comedy Books Every Comedian Should Read.” He also received his Master’s in Creativity & Innovation from Drexel University in 2014.
