Teaching Children Letter Sounds: Foundations for Reading 6

In this course I will be sharing the say it fast method using wooden frames for one letter, two letter, three letter, and four letter words. I will first be focusing on going over the one single letter sounds using the wooden frame and the call and response method of say it fast where I will model and then invite the viewer to try as well.  Second, I will go into two letter words and model the practice of sounding out each letter and then blending the two sounds.  Third, I will go into three letter words and model the process of sounding out each letter and then combining all three letters to form a word.  Fourth, I will demonstrate how to sound out four letter words and end the class with a review session where I will show how letters can be added around the frame to make 5 letter words and sentences using multiple frames. I have the hope that with this video series it will help the viewer develop the confidence to use the say it fast system to sound out the letters of the English language and blend letters together and help children learn and develop the confidence to read on their own.
