Done with your work and you want to end your session, there are more than one way you can end a session
You work with a transaction very often, save it in your favorites folder
Do not want to see a transaction in your favorites folder, this is how you can remove it
Every transaction will have a technical name assigned to it. You can display the technical name besides the transaction
Setting user parameters is a useful feature. System will default values as per your settings here
Don't like the color you see on your SAP screen, we will show you how you can change it to a different color

There are 5 basic objects which are the building blocks in organization management module. Find out how to display an object
You can display your entire organization structure using this transaction.
When you create a org. unit, position or a Job transaction PP03 is the best way to create these objects. Using transaction PP03 will present you all the relevant infotypes required as per your organization to create a new org. unit, position or a job.
Your organization has undergone some changes and your manager asked you to change the name of an existing org. unit. In this lesson you will learn how to maintain an existing organization unit
If for some reason while displaying a infotype record, you see that the data is not correct and needs to be changed. Instead of clicking the back button and then typing in the transaction, we will show you a shortcut where you can toggle from display to Maintain.
Every organization unit has a chief. A chief is one who manages the organization unit and is often required during approvals and workflows. This is how you can find the chief of an organization unit
In this lesson you will learn how to display position using 2 transactions PP01_DISP and PPOSE. When you use the display transaction, you cannot maintain data, you can only view the data.
Position is an object in organization management module. Every person occupies a position. New positions are often required in an organization. Learn how to copy an existing position to create a new position
Cost center is an object and is stored on the employee level. You can view all the cost centers that have been created by finance to make sure you are assigning the right cost center

If you know the employee's first name or last name you could use this feature to search for that employee

In display mode, you can look at infotypes, but not process or update any data. This means, there is no way of accidentally making any changes. So, it’s a good practice to use the display tool to prevent any accidents.
To maintain an employee record, you will need to use transaction PA30. Be careful - when you change an employee’s record, the old data is lost and the new data is saved over it.
It’s always a good idea to maintain the history of an employee’s records for future reference. You can do this by making a copy of an existing record BEFORE you change it.
Let’s say that you made a mistake in entering an employee’s start date and you now want to correct it. This is how you do it.
It’s a good practice to copy an existing record to create a new record, like this you will have the new and old record for future reference.
When you Delimit infotype records, you bring the validity end date forward. In other words, you are changing the validity period. This is a good way of keeping old or out-dated records separate from current ones.
This is the transaction used to display a remuneration statement. You can save this to your favorites or you can access it from the menu

There may be times you want to cancel a report you started. For example, if it’s taking too long or you realize that you have executed the wrong report.
You don’t always have to export the data from a report, or turn it into an Excel document, in order to sort it. For simple tasks, you can sort data in the report itself.
You can create any number of variants for any program in which selection screens are defined.
Now, you want to run a report using the variant you created. It’s very simple, here is how you do it.
if you need to change those standard values later on, you can delete the variant. This is how you do it.

Sometimes you will need to run a specific reports, you can use Adhoc query for that.
You can schedule a job to run in background if you know the report is going to take a long time to execute, or when you want to carry on with other tasks while this report is running.
