This course is an Introductory to Intermediary Practical Guide, on how to use SAP DataSphere to create Data Modeling. The created Data Model can then be consumed by a front end Business Intelligence tool to create a company's Financial Reports. Learners will see how to downloaded Sales Data from an OLTP ERP table as a CSV flatfile and imported in to DataSphere for subsequent processing. This Flat File represents the Sales Data of the Company for a particular period in time. It is imported into a DataSphere Space, this act as a WorkSpace for our Project. Including the Data Wrangling Platform, where learners will get the opportunity to learn first hand Data Wrangling. Through Data Wrangling we are able to Cleanse, Harmonise and carry out initial Integration of the Imported Data before being converted into a Local Table in DataSphere. This will be used as the Datasource for the Subsequent Data Modelling activities.
On top of the Sales Data local table, a Graphical View is built, where learners will observe how we carry out Data Transformations and Data Integration by using methods like Table Joins, Calculated Columns and setting of Field Properties. The Graphical view is used as a source for creating the Analytical Model, which is an OLAP Model that can be consumed by BI tools to build Dashboards, Reports and Interactive Applications.
