Description

Sales and marketing are the lifeblood of just about any organization. Suppose you are just starting up a new enterprise; you need to have a working knowledge of how the product or service will be delivered to the public. A logistics analysis may be necessary to determine the strengths and weaknesses and then design a promotion around a central plan. Sales and marketing are two different things. The function of marketing is to attract customers.

In comparison, the function of sales is to close the deal. While sales focuses on closing deals and generating revenue, the marketing department encompasses a broader range of activities to create awareness, generate leads, and build customer relationships. If one plans to start their own business, they don't necessarily need an actual diploma; they need the knowledge. The curriculum contained herein is designed to provide a broad understanding of the many sales techniques and the basic principles of marketing. Sales require speaking skills and a sense of the product or service they are selling. The course examines how functional areas of sales and marketing are structured, sales skills, communication skills, and business decision-making capability. When it comes to sales and marketing, there is no one right way to do anything. There are as many different approaches as there are various opportunities. The goal of every sales and marketing department is to synthesize the information and extrapolate what is necessary to achieve their sales and marketing goals.
