Through the lens of the Power and Control Wheel, participants will learn to recognize the complex dynamics at play, empowering them to support survivors and contribute to the prevention of domestic violence in their communities.


    STEP 1: Review lecture videos. The link to full length videos are attached. All worksheets referenced in the lecture video are available in the Downloads/Resources section.

    STEP 2: Take the Lecture 1 Quiz located in Downloads/Resources section.

    STEP 3: Grab a journal and reflect on the following questions:

    1. Why do some victims feel emotional abuse is the worst type of abuse?

    2. In the myth section of the recorded lesson, Did any of those myth’s change any beliefs you had about Domestic Violence?

    3. In understanding the power and control wheel of this recorded session. I went over the different spokes and talked about how the different tactics lead back to power and control.
