Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology in Ruqyah explores the connection between the physical body and spiritual afflictions in the practice of Ruqyah. This section helps students understand how the body's systems—such as the skeletal, muscular, circulatory, and endocrine systems—can be impacted by spiritual issues like jinn possession, black magic, and the evil eye. Students will learn how to identify physical symptoms that may be caused by spiritual conditions and how to apply their knowledge of anatomy and physiology to enhance the effectiveness of Ruqyah treatments. This holistic approach ensures that both the spiritual and physical aspects of healing are addressed for comprehensive care.
The Skeletal System in Ruqyah
In this section, students will learn about the structure and function of the skeletal system and its relevance to Ruqyah. The skeletal system, which provides support, protection, and mobility, can also reflect spiritual disturbances. For example, pain or discomfort in specific bones or joints may be linked to spiritual afflictions like jinn possession or black magic. Understanding the skeletal system allows practitioners to recognize when physical symptoms might be tied to spiritual causes, helping to target treatments more effectively through Ruqyah.

Skull, Spine, and Bone in Ruqyah
This section focuses on the skull, spine, and bones, which play a critical role in protecting the brain, nervous system and overall physical stability. In Ruqyah, certain issues in these areas, such as chronic pain, stiffness, or injury, may be signs of spiritual disturbances like jinn possession or black magic. Understanding the anatomy of the skull, spine, and bones allows practitioners to better identify physical symptoms that may have spiritual origins. By recognizing these connections, Ruqyah practitioners can apply targeted healing methods to address both the physical and spiritual aspects of these conditions.
The Muscular System in Ruqyah
In this section, students will explore the role of the muscular system in the body and its connection to spiritual afflictions. The muscles, responsible for movement and stability, can experience tension, weakness, or pain as a result of spiritual disturbances like jinn possession, black magic, or the evil eye. Understanding how the muscular system functions helps practitioners identify physical signs that may be linked to spiritual causes. By applying Ruqyah techniques, practitioners can target both the physical discomfort and the underlying spiritual issues, promoting healing and balance in the body.
The Circulatory System in Ruqyah
This section covers the circulatory system, which is responsible for transporting blood, oxygen, and nutrients throughout the body. Disruptions in circulation, such as poor blood flow or heart-related issues, can sometimes be linked to spiritual afflictions like jinn possession or the evil eye. By understanding the circulatory system, Ruqyah practitioners can better recognize when physical symptoms may have a spiritual cause. Applying Ruqyah in these cases can help restore balance, promote healing, and address the root spiritual issues affecting the body’s circulation and overall well-being.
The Integumentary System (Skin) in Ruqyah
This section focuses on the integumentary system, which includes the skin, hair, and nails. The skin acts as a protective barrier and reflects both physical and spiritual health. In Ruqyah, conditions such as unexplained skin rashes, irritations, or chronic skin issues may be linked to spiritual disturbances like black magic, jinn possession, or the evil eye. Understanding the role of the skin helps practitioners identify these signs and apply targeted Ruqyah treatments. By addressing the underlying spiritual causes, practitioners can promote healing, balance, and restore the protective function of the skin.
The Endocrine System in Ruqyah
This section delves into the endocrine system, which regulates hormone production and balances metabolic functions within the body. Hormonal imbalances can manifest in symptoms such as mood swings, fatigue, weight changes, and irregular bodily functions, which may sometimes be linked to spiritual afflictions like jinn possession, black magic, or the evil eye. Understanding how the endocrine system works enables Ruqyah practitioners to identify when physical symptoms may have spiritual roots. By addressing these disturbances with appropriate Ruqyah practices, practitioners can help restore both hormonal balance and spiritual well-being.
The Lymphatic System in Ruqyah
This section focuses on the lymphatic system, which plays a vital role in immune function, fluid balance, and the body's defense against infections. Blockages or imbalances in the lymphatic system can lead to swelling, fatigue, or frequent illnesses, which might be linked to spiritual issues like jinn possession, black magic, or the evil eye. Understanding the lymphatic system allows Ruqyah practitioners to identify when physical symptoms may be spiritually caused and apply appropriate treatments. By addressing both the spiritual and physical aspects, Ruqyah can help restore proper lymphatic flow, boost immunity, and support overall health and healing.
Congratulations on Completing the Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology Section!
Well done on mastering the foundational knowledge of the body’s systems and their connection to spiritual well-being. You now have a deeper understanding of how the skeletal, muscular, circulatory, endocrine, integumentary, and lymphatic systems play a role in both physical and spiritual health. Lesson Title: Recognising Symptoms of Sihr (Magic)
Learning Outcome:
By the end of this lesson, you’ll be able to identify the key symptoms of sihr using Qur’anic guidance, authentic hadith, and practical examples based on the signs observed in everyday cases.
1. What You’re Learning Today
In this lesson, you’re going to learn how to:
Understand what sihr (magic) is according to the Qur'an and Sunnah.
Recognise physical, emotional, and spiritual symptoms of sihr.
Learn the key signs you should look out for when assessing a person for sihr.
Apply what you learn through practical listening-based examples and insights.
2. Start Here: What is Sihr?
Sihr (magic) is real and harmful, as confirmed in the Qur’an. It refers to spiritual manipulation or disturbance caused by acts of disbelief (kufr), often carried out by practitioners of black magic.
In the Qur'an, it is mentioned:
“...but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic...” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:102)
Kufr means disbelief or rejection of faith, and sihr is one of the harmful tools used by devils to mislead people. As a student of Ruqyah (spiritual healing), your first task is to understand sihr as a spiritual illness.
Reflection Task:
Write down in your notes what you understand about sihr in 1–2 lines, using the ayah above. This helps you anchor your understanding from the Qur’an.
3. Know the Symptoms: What to Watch For
Sihr can manifest in many ways. Symptoms are usually categorised into three broad types: physical, psychological, and spiritual signs. Let’s break them down:
A. Physical Signs of Sihr:
These are symptoms that manifest in the body. They can include:
Chronic pain: Persistent pain that doesn’t have a medical cause (e.g., back pain, headaches).
Fatigue: Feeling constantly tired and weak, as if something is draining your energy.
Unexplained illnesses: Sicknesses with no clear medical explanation, such as dizziness, joint pain, or infertility.
B. Psychological Signs of Sihr:
These symptoms affect the mind and emotions:
Mood swings: Sudden changes in mood, depression, anxiety, or uncontrollable anger.
Depression and despair: A feeling of hopelessness or the inability to find joy, even in things you once loved.
Sudden fear or panic attacks: Experiencing intense fear, especially during certain times or in specific places.
C. Spiritual Signs of Sihr:
These symptoms affect your connection to Allah and your faith:
Aversion to worship: Feeling uneasy, distracted, or disgusted when reciting the Qur’an or during prayers (salah).
Dream disturbances: Nightmares involving insects, snakes, or people trying to harm you.
Feeling a presence: A feeling that someone or something is nearby, or sudden feelings of dread.
4. Practical Listening Example: Recognising Symptoms of Sihr
Now, let’s go through a practical listening-based example.
Listen carefully to the following list of symptoms and reflect on how they relate to sihr. These symptoms are commonly observed in people who have been affected by black magic. Pay attention to whether they relate to the physical, psychological, or spiritual categories we just discussed.
Symptoms:
A person frequently complains of unexplained headaches and fatigue that seem to worsen after certain events or times of the day.
They experience sudden mood swings, often feeling sad or anxious without any apparent reason.
They report that they find it difficult to pray or read the Qur’an, often feeling a sense of discomfort or unease during these times.
They have recurring nightmares or feel a constant presence around them, especially at night.
Your Task:
While listening, take note of the categories these symptoms fall under (physical, psychological, or spiritual).
Think about how you would assess someone who shows these signs. Write down your observations in the notebook provided.
5. How to Confirm Sihr (Without Haram)
As a Ruqyah practitioner, it is crucial that you confirm sihr through the Qur'an and Sunnah (Prophetic traditions), without resorting to forbidden practices such as using jinn or performing unlawful rituals.
Methods for Confirmation:
Recite Surah Al-Falaq, Surah Al-Naas, and Ayat-ul-Kursi aloud over the person.
Observe: Does the person feel tightness in their chest, twitch, cry, or show other signs of emotional or physical distress?
Ruqyah water or oil: Applying ruqyah-infused water or oil and observing any change in their condition is also a valid method of assessment.
Task for You:
While listening to the explanation of these methods, imagine how you would approach confirming sihr in someone you’re working with. Reflect on the following:
Would you feel comfortable using Qur’anic verses and natural methods to assess someone?
How would you ensure your process aligns with authentic practices and is free from doubtful or haram methods?
6. Your Homework
Now that you've listened to the symptoms and confirmation methods, reflect on the following:
Write a summary (1-2 paragraphs) of the most common signs of sihr that you can identify in a client.
Reflect on any personal experiences or knowledge regarding these signs and symptoms. Do any of the symptoms resonate with situations you’ve encountered in real life?
7. Spiritual Reminder for You
Before you work with clients, it’s essential to protect yourself and stay spiritually strong:
Recite your morning and evening adhkar (remembrances).
Ayat-ul-Kursi before sleep: This helps protect you from harm during your work.
Ruqyah oil application: Apply ruqyah oil on yourself daily to maintain protection.
Keep your intentions pure: Remember that healing comes from Allah alone.
Reflection Exercise:
Write your dua for protection and sincerity as a Ruqyah practitioner. Keep it with you as a reminder to stay focused on your purpose.
Understanding Sihr (Black Magic) – Simple & Practical Explanation for Ruqyah Practitioners
What is Sihr?
Sihr, also known as black magic or witchcraft, is real and dangerous. In Islam, it refers to an agreement between a magician (sahir) and a devil (shaytaan) where the magician does certain evil or shirk-based acts in exchange for the help of the jinn to harm people.
Definition in Simple Terms:
Sihr means to make something look like something else.
It's done to deceive, manipulate reality, or cause harm.
For example, a person may appear sick for years, but doctors find nothing wrong. In reality, it could be sihr.
Real-World Examples:
A husband and wife suddenly start hating each other with no clear reason.
A woman keeps having miscarriages, despite doctors saying she's healthy.
A man can't get married – every proposal breaks down last minute, repeatedly.
Someone always feels tired, confused, depressed – no medical explanation.
Sihr in the Life of the Prophet ﷺ
Even the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was affected by sihr. In an authentic hadith:
He used to think he had done things, but in reality, he hadn't.
Allah sent two angels who revealed that a man named Labeed ibn Al-A'sam had done sihr using his hair and comb, hidden inside a date palm pod and placed in a well.
The Prophet ﷺ followed the guidance of Allah, removed the sihr, and Allah healed him.
Lesson for us: Sihr is real, even prophets were tested by it, but healing comes only from Allah.
How is Sihr Done?
Magicians use:
Knots, incantations, strange symbols
Personal items: hair, nails, clothing
Written papers with talismans
Jinn and spirits to carry out harm
These things are often buried, thrown into water, hidden in homes, or put into food/drink.
Types of Sihr (with Examples):
Separation (تفريق) – To break marriages.
The husband avoids his wife for no reason.
The wife feels disgusted towards the husband.
Love Magic (محبة) – To make someone obsessed.
A woman uses magic to make a man marry her.
Harming Health
Non-stop headaches, pain, or bleeding without medical reason.
Feeling like something is moving inside the body.
Mental Confusion
Feeling lost, forgetful, unable to concentrate or read the Qur’an.
Miscarriages/Fertility Blockage
Continuous pregnancy loss or inability to conceive.
Financial Ruin
Business suddenly collapses.
Loss of customers without explanation.
Destruction of Families
Constant fights, misunderstandings, or people turning against each other.
Signs of Sihr in a Person:
Sudden change in behaviour or health
Seeing scary dreams (snakes, dogs, falling)
Hearing whispers or voices when alone
Feeling heaviness or pressure during Salah or Qur’an recitation
Finding strange objects in the house (knots, strings, powders, weird liquids, eggs, clothes with blood stains)
Repeated unexplained losses in business or job
Important: Not Every Problem is Sihr
As a Ruqyah practitioner, always rule out physical/mental health causes first. Sihr should only be considered when:
Problems are ongoing, repeating, and
Medical and worldly solutions fail, and
Ruqyah reactions confirm spiritual disturbance.
Prevention of Sihr (Practical Daily Protection)
Strong belief in Allah – Trust that only He can protect and heal.
5 daily prayers – Protect your spiritual shield.
Morning & evening adhkar – Especially:
Ayat al-Kursi (Surah Baqarah: 2:255)
Last 2 ayahs of Surah Al-Baqarah
Surah Al-Falaq & Surah An-Nas
Surah Al-Baqarah in the home every 3 days.
Eat 7 Ajwa dates every morning as the Prophet ﷺ advised (Sahih Hadith).
Avoid sinful acts – sins weaken the spiritual shield and open the door to evil.
Treatment of Sihr (Permissible Ways Only)
Reciting authentic Ruqyah from the Qur’an and Sunnah.
Recitation of Surah Al-Falaq, Surah An-Nas, and Ayat al-Kursi.
Use of Ruqyah water: The Qur’an is recited into water, which is then drunk or used for bathing.
Olive oil infused with Ruqyah for massage.
Burning or disposing of objects used for sihr (with caution and dua).
Seek help from righteous Ruqyah practitioners, not magicians or fortune tellers.
What to Avoid:
Visiting magicians, palm readers or using taweez with unknown content.
Believing anyone has power besides Allah.
Using non-Islamic rituals like burning incense, blood rituals, or calling spirits – all of this is shirk.
Summary for Students:
Sihr is real, as mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
It harms people in many ways – marriage, health, mind, and business.
Symptoms vary – but the root is always a spiritual attack through jinn.
Treatment and protection are only through Islam: Qur’an, adhkar, salah, and trust in Allah.
As Ruqyah practitioners, your role is to identify signs, apply the right methods, and guide people back to Allah.
What is Jinn Possession?
Jinn possession (Arabic: مس الجن Mass al-Jinn) refers to a situation where a jinn enters, influences, or takes partial or full control over a human being’s body, mind, or emotions. This can happen due to various reasons and may lead to physical, mental, emotional, or behavioural disturbances.
Islamic Understanding:
The concept of jinn possession is accepted in Islam, supported by the Qur’an, Hadith, and scholarly consensus.
Allah mentions in the Qur’an:
“Those who consume Riba will not stand except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity.”
— [Surah Al-Baqarah 2:275]
This verse is interpreted by many scholars to show that Shaytaan (a type of jinn) can affect the mental and physical state of a human.
Common Signs of Jinn Possession:
Sudden mood swings or violent behaviour without a clear cause
Unusual physical strength or voice changes
Blackouts or memory loss
Speaking in an unknown language
Hatred for the Qur’an, prayer, or religious reminders
Nightmares, sleep paralysis, or seeing shadows
Unexplained physical pain with no medical reason
Causes of Possession:
Weak protection (lack of dhikr, irregular salah)
Magic (Sihr) or envy (Hasad)
Entering impure places (e.g., bathrooms) without dua
Deliberately harming jinn (e.g., by throwing hot water without saying Bismillah)
Deep fear or trauma, which the jinn may exploit
Important Note:
Not every mental or physical issue is due to jinn possession. A Ruqya practitioner should differentiate between medical issues and spiritual conditions, using wisdom, knowledge, and proper Islamic methodology.
Module: Symptoms of Jinn Possession and Spiritual Protection
Introduction: Important Reminder
Before we go into the symptoms of jinn possession, it is very important to remember that many symptoms associated with jinn possession can also be caused by physical or mental health issues.
Do not assume jinn possession without proper checks.
Always consult a medical doctor (GP) first.
Around 80% of the cases we see are not spiritual but medical.
Sometimes, it’s due to poor blood circulation, nervous strain, or even diet, lack of exercise, or lifestyle issues.
Only after ruling out these possibilities should we explore the spiritual side.
Signs of Jinn Possession
Sudden personality changes
Extreme shifts in behaviour or identity without explanation.
Changes in facial structure or voice
Some may look or sound completely different, including speaking in voices that don’t match their gender or age.
Extreme emotional reactions
Sudden laughter, crying, or rage at inappropriate moments.
Unusual physical sensations
Feeling ants crawling under the skin.
Intense internal heat or stomach movement.
Speaking unknown languages
Speaking fluently in a language they’ve never learned.
Recurring nightmares and sleep paralysis
Nightmares featuring dark figures or suffocation.
Feeling held down or something entering the mouth while asleep.
Hallucinations or sleepwalking
Attraction to filthy or isolated places
The person becomes withdrawn, dirty, and attracted to filth or secluded areas.
Unusual physical strength
The possessed person may exhibit superhuman strength, lifting heavy items or acting violently with no memory afterwards.
Depression and hopelessness
Shayṭān’s goal is to break our faith in Allah. Islam prohibits hopelessness.
Shayṭān pushes one into suicidal thoughts and despair.
Module: Protection from Jinn Possession
1. Ajwa Dates (Pressed Dates)
Eat 7 Ajwa dates from Madinah each morning before food.
The Prophet ﷺ said they protect against poison and sorcery.
Arabic:
"مَنْ تَصَبَّحَ سَبْعَ تَمَرَاتٍ عَجْوَةً، لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ سُمٌّ وَلَا سِحْرٌ"
Transliteration:
"Man taṣabbaḥa sab‘a tamarātin ‘ajwah, lam yaḍurruhu dhālika al-yawm summun wa lā siḥr."
2. Staying in Wudū’ (Ablution)
Stay in a state of wudū’ as much as possible.
Angels make du‘ā’ (supplication) for the one who sleeps in wudū’.
Hadith:
"There is not a servant who sleeps in a state of wudū’, but an angel stays close and says, 'O Allah, forgive your servant, for he has slept in a clean state.'"
3. Praying in Congregation (Ṣalāh al-Jamā‘ah)
Missing congregational prayer makes a person vulnerable.
“Stick with the congregation, for the wolf eats the lone sheep.”
4. Night Prayer (Qiyām al-Layl / Tahajjud)
Night prayers protect from the influence of Shayṭān.
If missed regularly, Shayṭān urinates in the ears of the one who sleeps through Fajr.
Hadith:
"Satan urinates in the ears of the one who sleeps through Fajr."
5. Du‘ā’ When Entering the Toilet

Transliteration:
"Allāhumma jannibnā ash-shayṭān, wa jannib ash-shayṭān mā razaqtanā."
Saying this protects your child from Shayṭān if conceived.
9. Reciting Āyat al-Kursī Before Sleep
Recite Āyat al-Kursī (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:255)
Shayṭān told Abū Hurayrah (ra) that no Shayṭān will come near till morning.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"He spoke the truth, even though he is a liar."

Ayn (Evil Eye)
Jinn Possession
Daily Quran Practice
Play the Quran 24/7 at low volume in the home.
Complete a full Quran recitation daily through audio.
Change reciters if needed to stay motivated.
Recite 3 Juz daily with the intention of healing.
After recitation:
Blow into water, black seed oil, and attar (perfume).
Shower using this recited water daily before sleep or as often as possible (cold water preferred).
Women can sprinkle water on their hair if washing daily is difficult.
Apply recited black seed oil on the body, then apply attar.
Perfume the house daily with recited attar to burn away sihr, evil eye, and jinn.
Daily Duas & Worship
Recite morning and evening adhkar regularly.
Say adhkar during daily activities (e.g., leaving home, entering the toilet, etc.).
Pray extra nawafil salah, especially Qiyam al-Layl (night prayer).
Make specific du’as:
Du’a to see the source of sihr or evil in dreams.
Du’a to destroy the sihr or jinn in the dream.
Lifestyle & Health Habits
Always remain in a state of wudu, even during menstruation.
Take 1 tbsp of black seed oil daily on an empty stomach.
Visit a qualified Raqi (Ruqyah healer) monthly.
Take medical or psychiatric treatment if advised.
Do hijama (wet cupping) every 2 months.
You can learn hijama through our certified D2D Hijama Course.

Stay productive outside of healing:
Volunteer, do Islamic work, or support society.
Donate regularly, with the intention of healing.
Sacrifice animals for the sake of Allah and feed the poor.
Make du’a for others in need, especially the poor and suffering.
Understanding the Role of a Raqi
A Raqi is someone who performs Ruqyah using the Quran & Sunnah only.
A raqi is not a magician or amil and does not use:
Talisman, jinn catching, or taweez.
Ruqyah must be:
Simple and clear.
Based solely on the Quran and authentic hadith.
Free from shirk or dubious practices.
Anyone (male or female) with yaqin (firm belief) in the Quran can become a Raqi.
Training & Certification
If you want to become a certified Raqi, contact D2D Therapies via www.d2dtherapies.co.uk
We offer official Ruqyah certification.
3 Stages of Treating Jinn Possession
1. Preparation
Remove pictures, music, gold (for men), and immodest dress from the treatment space.
Burn any taweez or amulets found.
Give the patient and their family a lesson in pure Islamic belief (Aqeedah).
2. Diagnosis
Ask about dreams, symptoms, and fears (e.g., animals attacking, falling, isolation).
If a patient sees many snakes, it may indicate multiple jinn.
Identify the number and type of jinn through symptoms.
3. Treatment Procedure
Place hand on patient’s head and recite:
Surah Al-Fatiha, verses on jinn and sihr.
Signs of jinn presence:
Shivering, screaming, eyes rolling, speaking.
Ask the jinn:
Name, religion, body part it resides in, if it’s alone.
If Muslim, ask it to fear Allah and leave.
If non-Muslim, invite to Islam, then request exit.
If it refuses, recite with force until it leaves.
Post-Treatment Advice
The patient must:
Read the Quran regularly.
Pray on time.
Keep the company of righteous people.
Islamic Position on Ruqyah
Permissible Ruqyah (Ruqyah Shariyyah):
Only use the Quran, Allah’s names, and attributes.
Must be understood language (Arabic or known meaning).
The cure comes from Allah, not the ruqyah itself.
Referenced from:
Fath al-Bari
Ibn Taymiyyah’s works
Authentic Ruqyah Du’as
Jibreel’s Dua for the Prophet ﷺ (Sunan Ibn Majah):
“Bismillah arqeek, min kulli shay’in yu’dheek, min sharri kulli nafsin aw ‘aynin hasid, Allahu yashfeek, Bismillah arqeek.”
Prophet Muhammad’s Dua:
“Allahumma Rabban-nas, adhhibil-ba’s, washfi anta ash-shafi, la shifa’a illa shifa’uk, shifa’an la yughadiru saqama.”
Seeking refuge in Allah:
“Bismillah, a’udhu bi’izzatillah wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir.”
Conditions for Acceptable Ruqyah
Must be free from shirk or superstitions.
Cannot use:
Magic, fortune telling, star signs, blood.
Illegible symbols, curses, or blasphemy.
The practitioner must:
Be ritually pure (not in janabah).
Avoid performing ruqyah in places like toilets or graveyards.
Always acknowledge that healing comes from Allah alone.
Recommendations for Ruqyah on the Sick
1. Spitting or blowing into the hands and reciting before wiping the body
When the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to bed, he would cup his hands, blow lightly into them, recite Surah Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Naas, and then wipe over his head, face, and body. He did this three times.
This blow is very light—just air or a small moisture, not full saliva. You can also blow on the area that feels pain.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that when the Prophet was ill, he would do this for others, and later, she would do the same for him. You can use any verse from the Qur’an for Ruqyah because the whole Qur’an is a healing.
Allah says:
"We send down in the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers" (Surah Al-Isra: 82)
2. Reciting over water and using it
You can recite the Qur’an into water, blow into it lightly, drink some, and pour the rest over yourself. The Prophet did this for Thabit bin Qays (may Allah be pleased with him).
Zamzam water is especially blessed. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"Zamzam is a cure for illness, food that fills, and for whatever it is drunk for."
3. Reciting over olive oil and massaging
Recite over olive oil and blow into it lightly. Then, use it to massage.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"Eat olives and use its oil, for it comes from a blessed tree."
4. Placing your hand where it hurts and making du’a
Uthman ibn Abu Al-‘As (may Allah be pleased with him) complained of pain. The Prophet (peace be upon him) told him:
"Place your hand on the place that hurts, say ‘Bismillah’ (In the name of Allah) three times, and then say:
‘I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel and fear’ (seven times)."
The Prophet also said:
"Place your hand on the pain, wipe it seven times, and each time say:
‘I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I find and fear.’"
Another du’a used by the Prophet (peace be upon him):
"Remove the harm, O Lord of the people. Heal me, for You are the Healer. There is no healing except Yours, a healing that leaves no illness behind."
5. Ruqyah for yourself
Say:
"In the name of Allah, I perform Ruqyah on myself, from everything that harms, from the evil of every soul, and every envious eye. May Allah heal me."
Also say:
"I ask Allah, the Mighty, the Lord of the Mighty Throne, to heal me."
6. Using earth (soil) with saliva
Place a bit of saliva on your finger, touch the earth/soil, then wipe it on the painful area while saying:
"In the name of Allah, with the earth of our land and the saliva of some of us, may our sick be healed by permission of our Lord."
7. Blowing with or without spitting during Ruqyah
There are different times to blow lightly:
Before reciting
While reciting
After reciting
All are allowed. For example, Surah Al-Fatiha was recited by a companion for a man with madness, and he was cured. The companion spat lightly at the end of the recitation.
8. Ruqyah without blowing
The Prophet sometimes made du’a for someone without blowing. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said he would place his hand and recite the du’a for healing.
Angel Jibreel also did Ruqyah on the Prophet without blowing, saying:
"In the name of Allah, I perform Ruqyah upon you from everything that harms and from every envious eye. May Allah heal you."
Avoid Impermissible Practices in Ruqyah
Never call upon anyone besides Allah. This includes calling upon the Prophet (peace be upon him), companions, or saints. Do not use charms, amulets, or talismans—these are either innovations (bid'ah) or often involve black magic.
Just because something "contains Qur’an" doesn’t make it permissible to wear. The Qur’an’s power is in reciting it and believing that Allah is the Healer.
Protecting Your Home from Shaytan
Say Bismillah when entering and exiting your home.
Greet the household with Salam.
Read Surah Al-Baqarah regularly. If not possible, at least read Ayat al-Kursi at night.
Before sleeping, lock doors, cover water, close food containers, and turn off lights—mentioning Allah’s name while doing so.
Strong family bonds based on the Qur’an and Sunnah protect the home.
Final Reminder
The Qur’an is a healing, but it must be used correctly and with firm belief. Avoid innovation and always follow the Prophet’s authentic practices. Strengthen your connection to Allah through regular prayer and remembrance, and trust in Him as your ultimate Healer.

These are from prophetic medicine.
How to Prepare the Bath:
Pour 1 glass of Quranic water into your bathtub.
Add 5 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.
Add 2 tablespoons of rock salt.
Add 2 teaspoons of Qust al-Hindi powder.
Add 1 large pinch of crushed sidr leaves.
Instructions:
Sit in the warm bath for 30 to 45 minutes daily for 7 days, then continue as needed.
Before entering, recite:
A’udhu bi kalimatillahi at-tammah min kulli shaytanin wa hammatin wa min kulli ‘aynin lammah.
(I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from every devil, every poisonous creature, and from every evil eye.)
Ruqyah Drink Instructions:
You will need:
Sidr leaves – 2 teaspoons

Self-Ruqyah
The best Ruqyah is when you perform it yourself with sincerity.
Verses to Recite:

Surah Al-Baqarah – Verses 1–5, 255–256, and the last 3 verses
Surah Al-Kafirun – 3, 5, or 7 times
Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas – 3, 5, or 7 times each
Application:
Raise both hands, blow into your palms, and then wipe your entire body.
You can also recite over water, olive oil, black seed oil, or honey and use them.
Spiritual & Practical Advice
Rely only on Allah. Trust that healing comes from Him alone.
Perfect your character: Avoid bad speech, lying, backbiting, and anger.
Say: A’udhu billahi min ash-shaytanir-rajim three times when angry.
Give in charity and help others.
Pray on time; men should pray in congregation.
Remove music and pictures from your home—angels do not enter where images are displayed (Bukhari 3226, Muslim 2106).
Get monthly Hijama – highly effective alongside Ruqyah.
Take our Hijama course at www.d2dtherapy.co.uk to learn more.
Daily Ruqyah Practices
Drink Ruqyah water, take Ruqyah baths, and apply Ruqyah oil to the affected areas.
Listen to Ruqyah audio through headphones daily (find it on YouTube).
Recite the following 100 times after Fajr and Asr:
La ilaha illAllahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.
(None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone, without partner. His is the dominion and all praise, and He can do all things.)
Morning & Evening Adhkar
Read Fortress of the Muslim, Section 27 (pages 91–117).
Morning adhkar: Between Fajr and Duha (best early).
Evening adhkar: From Asr to Maghrib (the earlier, the better).
Read it in Arabic, then understand the translation. Shaytan may make you feel it’s not working—ignore it and stay consistent.
Extra Prayers
Ishraq (Sunrise) Prayer:
After Fajr, remain seated doing dhikr. Once the sun rises (15–20 mins after), pray 2–4 rakats.
Reward: Equal to Hajj and Umrah.
Duha (Morning) Prayer:
Pray between 2 to 12 rakats after sunrise and before Dhuhr.
Hadith: Whoever prays 12 rakats, Allah will build a golden house in Paradise. (Ibn Majah)
Tahajjud (Night Prayer):
The best of all nafl prayers. Pray 2–12 rakats in units of 2. Best done in the last third of the night.
If difficult, pray 2 rakats after Isha with niyyah for tahajjud (less reward but still valid).
Witr Prayer:
A must-do daily.
Hadith Qudsi:
“My servant comes near Me with nafl worship until I love him. When I love him, I become his hearing, his sight…” (Bukhari)
Before Sleeping
Recite:
Surah Mulk
Surah Al-Fatiha
Ayatul Kursi (2:255)
Last 2 verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (2:285–286)
Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas
Blow into your palms and rub over your body before sleeping.
Final Advice for Patients & Family Members
Strengthen your faith by gaining Islamic knowledge:
Read books
Listen to Islamic audio
Join Islamic classes
Keep good company
Be patient. Make dua and cry to Allah sincerely.
If Ruqyah feels slow, don’t stop. Stay regular with all Ruqyah remedies.
Side effects like body aches, vomiting, tight chest, and fast heartbeat are common and part of the healing.
Listen to Surah Al-Duha during these symptoms.
Allah tests those He loves. Never lose hope. Healing will come by His Will.
We pray that Allah grants you complete shifa. Ameen.
Insha’Allah, in the next part, we’ll look into the medical components behind these issues, as many clients also suffer from physical or psychological problems.
Assalamu Alaikum.
Understanding the Body Before Practising Ruqyah
Topic: Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology
Welcome back. In this part of the course, we will cover the basics of anatomy (structure of the body), physiology (how the body works), and pathology (what happens when something goes wrong in the body).
Although Ruqyah is a spiritual healing method, it’s essential to understand the physical body. Some clients may suffer from medical or physical problems, not spiritual ones. As a responsible Ruqyah practitioner, it’s your duty to help them explore all options—medical, physical, and spiritual.
1. Skeletal System
Anatomy: Bones, joints, and spine.
Physiology: Supports the body, protects organs, helps movement.
Pathology Examples:
Osteoarthritis – Joint pain in older people due to worn cartilage.
Slipped Disc – Back pain from damaged spinal discs.
Activity:
Stand up and gently twist your upper body side to side. Feel your spine and ribs move. Now imagine if a disc was out of place—how would that affect movement?
Engage: Ask your clients about their posture and back pain. Recommend a GP visit if they report long-term discomfort.
2. Muscular System
Anatomy: Muscles attached to bones.
Physiology: Helps movement, supports joints, produces heat.
Pathology Examples:
Muscle Strain – Happens from heavy lifting or overuse.
Fibromyalgia – Chronic muscle pain, often confused with spiritual affliction.
Practical Tip: Learn where common tension points are (shoulders, lower back). Try self-massage techniques to feel tight areas.
Engage: Ask your clients, “Do you feel muscle tightness or pain?” If yes, massage or exercise may help more than Ruqyah.
3. Spine & Spinal Cord
Anatomy: 33 vertebrae and spinal nerves.
Physiology: Connects the brain to the body, controls movement and sensation.
Pathology Examples:
Sciatica – Pain shooting down the leg from compressed nerves.
Nerve damage – This may cause numbness or weakness.
Engage: If a client reports tingling in the limbs or difficulty walking, don’t jump to jinn possession—advise them to see a neurologist.
4. Circulatory System
Anatomy: Heart, blood vessels.
Physiology: Transports oxygen, removes waste.
Pathology Examples:
High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) – Often stress-related.
Poor Circulation – Cold hands/feet, fatigue, dizziness.
Activity: Gently massage your wrist and feel your pulse. What happens when blood flow improves?
Tip: Encourage clients to drink water, reduce smoking, and do light walking.
5. Skin
Anatomy: Epidermis, dermis, pores.
Physiology: Protects the body, eliminates waste through sweat.
Pathology Examples:
Eczema – Dry, itchy skin possibly linked to diet.
Blocked Pores – Can lead to rashes or boils.
Practical Tip: Recommend steam baths or gentle scrubs for detoxing through the skin.
Engage: Ask if the client’s skin issues get worse with food or stress—this could point to lifestyle issues, not spiritual ones.
6. Endocrine System
Anatomy: Glands (thyroid, pituitary, adrenals).
Physiology: Produces hormones for mood, growth, and energy.
Pathology Examples:
Thyroid Imbalance – Causes fatigue, anxiety, and mood swings.
Diabetes – A Hormonal condition affecting blood sugar.
Engage: A client may complain of “spiritual laziness” or brain fog. Consider whether it could be hormonal and not spiritual. Suggest blood tests.
7. Lymphatic System
Anatomy: Lymph nodes, vessels.
Physiology: Removes toxins and waste from the body.
Pathology Examples:
Swollen Lymph Nodes – Common during infections.
Lymphedema – Swelling due to blocked drainage.
Activity: Lightly press under your jaw or in your armpit to feel your lymph nodes (be gentle). If swollen, this could be due to infection.
Engage: Suggest detox therapies like massage, hydration, or dry brushing.
Final Advice:
Encourage students to observe physical symptoms first.
If something feels off, refer clients to their GP.
Use this knowledge to know when to apply Ruqyah and when to suggest physical care.
Never assume everything is spiritual—balance is key in Islamic holistic healing.
Practical Ruqyah Methods – with Brother Alamin
Introduction
Today, we have Brother Alamin sharing different methods of doing Ruqyah based on personal experience, advice from various raqis, and practical application. These are personal methods and not exclusive or absolute.
Understanding Ruqyah
Ruqyah is a powerful healing practice from the Qur’an and Sunnah. While it’s often associated with black magic, it is also beneficial for general physical, emotional, and spiritual issues like pain, anxiety, and evil eye.
The Prophet ﷺ himself was afflicted with black magic, demonstrating that no one is immune. The story involves hair tied into knots and placed in a well, revealed and resolved through Surah Al-Falaq and An-Naas.
Warning About Charlatans
Be cautious of individuals who claim to be raqis but engage in un-Islamic or suspicious practices. Signs of false practitioners include:
Asking for your name, mother’s name, or date of birth
Requesting items with your DNA (hair, nails, clothes)
Offering amulets (taweez) without clear explanation
Claiming to receive power during late-night rituals (12–3 am)
Tampering with the Qur’anic text inside the taweez (a serious sin)
Avoid using taweez unless verified by a trustworthy scholar. Always seek knowledge and clarity, and never rely on items without understanding their origin.
Ruqyah Water Method
This is a practical, sunnah-based method to help yourself or your family.
Preparation
Take clean water in a bottle.
Recite Surah Al-Fatiha, Ayat al-Kursi, and the three Qul’s (Ikhlas, Falaq, Naas).
Blow into the water after each surah.
Usage
Drink daily for self-healing.
Use the same method with olive oil: recite, blow, and rub onto the body after bathing.
Pour the Ruqyah water into a spray bottle and spray it around your home—in corners of rooms and doorways, avoiding bathrooms.
Home Protection Tips
Start spraying from the room farthest from the front door.
In multi-storey homes, start from the top and work down.
Use this for new homes or homes with arguments or strange experiences—especially when black magic is suspected.
Evil Eye (Ayn)
A serious issue often overlooked.
Can be caused by close people—even unintentionally.
Signs may include constant fatigue, illness, arguments, or life blockages.
Protection: Recite the Qur’an regularly, maintain your five daily prayers, and cover yourself modestly.
Using Ruqyah for Evil Eye
If the source of the evil eye is known, request their wudu water and bathe with it.
If not, use rose water in your bath, reciting the Qur’an over it to spiritually cleanse.
Spiritual Practices That Strengthen Protection
Daily prayers: This is the key to keeping spiritual hygiene strong.
Consume 7 ajwa dates daily, as recommended by the Prophet ﷺ, for protection from poison and sihr (magic).
Avoid black magic-promoting content and superstitions.
Focus on sincere tawakkul (trust in Allah) and consistent dhikr.
Closing Advice
If you're struggling with bloating, disturbed sleep (especially waking between 1-3 am), or constant arguments at home, consider using these Ruqyah methods regularly. They’ve helped many, and bi’idhnillah, they can help you, too.
Final Note
It’s been wonderful sharing this. May Allah accept it, make it beneficial for others, and forgive us for any errors. Ameen.
Ruqyah Session Script (Simplified and Authentic)
Begin with:
"Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem" – Recite 3 times on the face.
Recite:
Surah Al-Fatiha – 1 time or 3 times (commonly done 3 or 7 times for healing).
Protection Du’a:
"A’udhu bi kalimatillahi tammati min sharri ma khalaq"
(I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created) – Repeat 3 times.
Shifa Declaration:
Say:
“Allah is the One who gives shifa (healing) from all sicknesses. Allah gives healing.”
Complete with:
"Bismillahilladhi la yadurru ma’asmihi shay’un fil-ardi wa laa fis-sama’i, wa huwa As-Sami’ul Aleem"
(In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the heavens or earth can harm, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing) – Repeat 3 times.
Section: Protection Du’a
Du’a:
"A‘udhu bi kalimatillahi tammati min sharri ma khalaq"
Translation: “I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.”
Usage in Ruqyah: This short yet powerful du’a is directly from the Sunnah and is used for general protection from all kinds of evil – whether seen or unseen, physical or spiritual.
AUTHENTIC HADITH SUPPORT
Narrated Khawlah bint Hakim (RA):
“I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say:
‘Whoever makes a stop at a place and then says: “A‘udhu bi kalimatillahi tammati min sharri ma khalaq,” nothing will harm him until he moves on from that place.’”
— Sahih Muslim (2708)
Practical Application for Ruqyah Practitioners
1. Before Starting a Session
The practitioner can recite this du’a on themselves and the client to protect both from spiritual interference or hidden harm during the Ruqyah session.
Scenario:
A practitioner is about to perform Ruqyah on a client suffering from sudden anxiety, black magic, or nightmares.
He/she recites this du’a while placing the right hand over the client's head or chest.
Benefit: Creates a spiritual shield using Allah’s words, repelling any evil presence or harm trying to resist the healing process.
2. Protection for the Client After Session
The practitioner can teach this du’a to the client to repeat:
Before sleep
When entering a new place (hotel, unfamiliar home, etc)
When experiencing fear, waswas (whispers), or unease
Scenario:
A client feels overwhelmed by fear every time they enter their home, possibly due to jinn disturbance.
They are instructed to say this du’a when stepping into their home.
Outcome:
Continual use helps weaken the presence of evil and reinforces their spiritual resilience.
3. Daily Protection for Children
Ruqyah practitioners can advise parents to use this du’a as part of the morning or evening routine for their children.
Example Practice:
The parent gently places their hand on the child and says:
“U‘idhu-ka bi kalimatillahi tammati min sharri ma khalaq”
(“I seek refuge for you in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created”)
This is based on the Prophet ﷺ's practice of making du‘a for protection over his grandsons.
Barakah-Driven Implementation Tips
Use this du’a with full conviction in the power of Allah’s words.
Teach clients to recite with understanding and mindfulness, not just by tongue.
Combine it with dhikr like Ayatul Kursi, the last 2 verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, and Surah Ikhlas-Falaq-Nas for layered protection.
1. Ayat al-Kursi – Surah Al-Baqarah (2:255)
Qur’an: This verse is directly from the Qur’an.
Sunnah:
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi at the end of every obligatory prayer, nothing prevents him from entering Paradise except death.”
— Sahih An-Nasa’i, 6/149
And:
“When you go to bed, recite Ayat al-Kursi... A protector from Allah will be appointed over you, and no shaytan will approach you until morning.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari 2311
Practical Use:
Ruqyah practitioners can ask the person being treated to recite this verse themselves if they are able, or recite it over them. It is especially useful for cases involving fear, sleep disturbances, or general spiritual protection.
2. Last Two Verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (2:285–286)
Qur’an: These verses are from the end of Surah Al-Baqarah.
Sunnah:
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari 5009, Sahih Muslim 807
Practical Use:
Encourage daily night recitation for ongoing protection and as a spiritual barrier against jinn or black magic. These verses may also be recited during ruqyah sessions over water or directly over the patient.
3. Surah Al-Ikhlas (112), Al-Falaq (113), and An-Nas (114)
Qur’an: These are complete Surahs revealed in the Qur’an.
Sunnah:
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Recite Surah Ikhlas, Falaq, and Nas three times in the morning and evening. They will suffice you for everything.”
(Abu Dawood 5082, Tirmidhi 3575
Also:
“Whenever the Prophet ﷺ went to bed, he would cup his hands, blow into them after reciting these three Surahs, then wipe over his body...”
— Sahih al-Bukhari 5017
Practical Use:
These three Surahs form the foundation of daily protection. A practitioner can recite them while blowing lightly into their hands and then wiping them over the patient. They can also teach clients to use these Surahs as part of their daily self-ruqyah practice.
Summary
These Surahs and verses are found in the Qur’an.
Their use is established in the Sunnah.
They serve as foundational texts for spiritual protection, healing from sihr (magic), jinn possession, evil eye, and general distress.
Ruqyah practitioners can incorporate them in sessions, over water, oils, or the patient directly, and teach clients to continue using them in their daily routines.
