I found Pilates after having my second child hoping to use Pilates to get back into my pre-baby shape without hight intensity workouts, I realized it was so much more than that. Not only I felt stronger, more flexible and releasing 15 lbs of baby weight, but I also enjoyed mindfulness of breathing and using it for movement and a deeper connection to my body.
I practiced Pilates for a number of years, experiencing it as a client before deciding to become an instructor. I learned deeper understanding anatomy of movement and the science of exercise.
About the same time, I started my running adventure and did a number of train running races. Pilates training helped me to get a better awareness of my body during running, condition while keeping balance in the body.
After seeing how many people injure themselves doing competitive sports, intensive fitness programs, and working physically straining jobs I realized how Pilates can help by balancing opposing muscle groups, creating symmetry in the body, and improving strength and balance. I’m so fascinated with how functional Pilates movements are and very passionate to share my personal results and experience with my clients.
