As engineering head, I have been recruiting engineers and diploma holders to various positions in our organization and my experience is that since the students aspiring to take up career in process plant engineering are unaware of their role, required skill sets and opportunities in this field , they come ill prepared and are unable to perform satisfactorily in oral and written tests and thus become unemployable in the industry which employs engineers in various disciplines like chemical, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation,civil and structural and project construction and management.
The course provides insight into various aspects like the fields of opportunities available in this domain, basic engineering knowledge and skill sets required, software skills to be acquired, the requirement of basic knowledge in other disciplines like mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil and structural, safety and other disciplines.
